It's a beautiful home, located very close to the public beach access. The volleyball court in the front of the home is great for everyone and gives you something to do in between the beach and sightseeing. Plenty of room and an excellent kitchen area with common room for all your guest to enjoy.

This vacation home is awesome. It allowed for a vacation with 17 people of all ages fun and comfortable. There was certainly enough room for everyone and the appliances made cooking and laundry easy. We loved lounging in the pool and playing games on the beautiful front lawn.

Wondering if the fence around the pool has a gate with lock to prevent children from just walking into pool area? Thanks! Lindsay
That's a great question, Lindsay. The fence around the pool does have a gate with a latch that is out of reach of small children. In addition to that, this home also comes equipped with a pool alarm that sounds throughout the home if any of the doors to the outdoor pool area are opened without disabling via a switch/button located on the wall or door frame, which is also out of reach of children.

Are any of the couches in the home sleep sofas? How many? What is in the Office on level 1 of the home? Can we decide on Mon or Tues of stay to heat the pool? Rental is late Sept, & are unsure of how warm the weather/water will be during that time.
Good morning, Mike! Hughes Hideaway does not advertise any Sleeper Sofas. The office on the first floor can be best seen in picture #26. This room has a built in desk area with cherry cabinets, but does not advertise any computer/office equipment. We recommend bringing those items with you if you would like to make use of them during your stay. You are able to request the heated pool during your stay, but please note there may be an additional charge if the vendor has to make a service call to activate the heater.

Do any of the bedrooms have a TV in it? Thank you.
Tierney, we guarantee televisions in all of the common areas of the home, such as great room, den, etc, and according to the last property report, there were televisions in all the bedrooms of this home, but since they are not advertised, we cannot guarantee that there has not been a change!

How far is the actual beach access from the house?
C. Shatkus, J20932 is advertised as semi-oceanfront. Unfortunately, we don't have exact measurements on distance to the beach for any of our homes. This particular home is less than a 6 minute walk to the closest beach access. To view our Subdivision Aerial Map, please visit www.twiddy.com/aerials/aerial-whalehead-central-1.aspx.

Are there beach chairs and/or umbrellas available?
Great question, Sandy! Beach chairs are an advertised amenity and there will be at least 5 waiting for you at the home. Equipment such as boogie boards and umbrellas are considered specialty items and not advertised amenities. As a result we do not require owners to provide them nor do we take inventory of what may be in the home upon arrival. We recommend some local resources in our area who rent daily as well as weekly should you choose not to bring those items with you. Please give our office a call if you would like their contact information.
