"Having the game room off the kitchen is perfect! It keeps all the people together and allows the folks prepping in the kitchen to still be part of the fun. The pool is amazing - bigger than most pools compared to other houses we have stayed at in Corolla. Pool deck is great too. Love the big deck with all the outside seating."
"The house floorplan had several great areas to hang out and there was ample space for multiple families or a very large family. We loved the outdoor spaces and the recent upgrades to the pool deck were fantastic. Proximity to beach and to shopping areas are so important for groups with several children--we had a wonderful time!"
"Our group had been waiting four LONG years to make our way back to the Outer Banks and this house did NOT disappoint. We made our house a home for the entire week. The most commonly used areas were the pool, the terrace (where we could have movie nights), and the gazebo on our way to the beach. I stayed in one of the northwest bedrooms on the second level and it was a comfortable place to sleep. Having our own bathrooms for the week was really great as well! Our only complaints were the ovens and the range - which need upgrades - one of the bottom cabinets having a loose door, and the inside handle of the breakfast nook fell off. Those were the only negatives in an otherwise fantastic house."
"The Summer House was fabulous. There was more than enough room for our entire group. We took advantage of the two refrigerators, two dishwashers, and the two washers and dryers. The “big boys” had fun playing their video games in the media room. Everyone had their own bathroom! The kids enjoyed the pool. We paid the extra fee to have the heater turned on—well worth it. The house was ready on time. Everything was very clean. The towels in each bedroom were wrapped to ensure cleanliness."
"The kitchen and living area are great and the bedrooms are nice and spacious. Pool and outdoor patio area is really nice."
Thank you for the review, Trent! So happy you and your loved ones enjoyed the house and the new outdoor space!
"This is relaxation at its finest. The view of the beach from the house, the gunite pool, the gazebo at the top of the dune. It was all truly amazing. The location of the home is a short bike ride from the shops, restaurants, supermarkets, which puts it in a favorable location. The home itself needs some fine-tuning and more attention to detail to be competitive at this price-point (lack of cleanliness mainly externally (cobwebs, grit, missing shingles, rusting nails on rails), internally: low quality linens, lack of an external audio system, small fixes (toilets, doors, showers, etc.) that we had to call about in the early days of the stay that should have been checked ahead of check-in, etc.)."
"It’s a beautiful house with expansive rooms & amazing views. We stood at this home in 2008 and it’s been blown out & upgraded as far as kitchen & bedrooms on the south side. Though it’s been many years, I felt there’s been a lack in upkeep. We fell in love with the 2 fox that live in the dune as they soaked up the sun & came for occasional visits. We gave them fresh water next to the gazebo and they kept a safe distance. Twiddy was amazingly responsive to all inquiries during our stay. Everyone I spoke to was a pleasure, down to earth & very sweet. We had a wonderful family vacation with beautiful memories! The swag bag was sweet as we did not have anything like that last stay. Kelly & Paul great wine choices!! Thank you!"
"We had a great time sharing this house. One suggestion is a rail at the pool steps. Loved having the game room near the kitchen."
