The pictures make it look like there are no doors on the bathrooms in the rooms - is that correct ?
Tina, many of the bathrooms in this home that are part of a master bedroom suite do not have doors within the suite. They are considered private, as the bedroom does have a privacy door.

Great question, Tom! Grills are a standard amenity for every Twiddy home. However, the type varies by house. J10991 currently offers a gas grill.

My family and I have the house rented for May 2015. It's difficult to tell from the pictures; can you tell me if the bedroom next to the bathroom on the first floor is the twin room or the bunk room?

Which bedrooms share a bath?
Great question, Lisa! The only bedrooms in the home that would share a bathroom are the 2 rooms on the first floor (2T and DBS). All of the King rooms located on the second and third floors are masters that come with their own private bathrooms.

Once you make your initial balance payment, your reservation is confirmed. To cancel a confirmed reservation, please get in touch with us as soon as possible:
In the case of cancellation, you may re-rent your reservation. We can re-list the home for rent with hopes that another guest can take over your home/week. If the home/week rents, you will receive a refund less the $100 cancellation fee and Travel Insurance (if they purchased it), and any difference in price. If the home/week does not re-rent, you will not receive a refund. If you only paid the initial balance and the home/week did not re-rent, you will be liable for any additional amount owed for the reservation.
If the you purchased travel insurance and need to cancel for a covered reason, you may file a claim with CSA Travel Protection.
The advance hold fee ($50) is transferable to another home. The fee is not refundable if you choose to cancel your advance property hold.

While we are waiting for the owners to confirm their future year rates, you can use the rate for the same week this year as an estimate.

Complimentary mid-stay cleaning is available for reservations of two weeks or longer. This service is complimentary but must be scheduled in advance and will take place on the home’s changeover day (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
*IMPORTANT: Additional cleaning services may be available for an additional fee and must be scheduled in advance.
Pets are permitted in homes that list “Pets Allowed” in the description (NO EXCEPTIONS). There is no additional fee for bringing pets to pet-friendly homes.
Unless otherwise advertised, a maximum of two pets is allowed.
Some pet-friendly homes have specific restrictions regarding the number, size or type of pet noted in the individual description.
Private pools are generally available from the first week of May through the second week of October. Please see your home's web page for specific opening and closing dates. Pools are cleaned, vacuumed and serviced on the day of guest arrival. A mid-week service, including chemical and mechanical checks, is provided, but does not include cleaning or vacuuming.
Heated pool availability dates and fees vary by home. See the vacation home description for availability dates and the heated pool fee. The heated pool option must be requested and paid for prior to arrival.
*IMPORTANT: Pools are not heated in July and August.
The following amenities are standard to all homes unless specifically noted in the home description:
Bed and bath linens are provided for all homes EXCEPT Twiddy Traditionals (which have a “T” at the end of the property number).
Additional linens or linen packages for Twiddy Traditional (T) homes can be provided if requested and paid for prior to arrival.
Bed and bath linens include:
The kitchen is fully stocked with all dinnerware, silverware, pots and pans, and serveware.
Basic appliances, such as a coffee maker, blender, toaster, and can opener are provided.
*IMPORTANT: Paper products, soap products, trash bags, spices, etc (including toilet paper and dish soap) are not provided. Guests are responsible for purchasing or bringing these items.
Baby items, like a crib, high chair, or pack and play are not provided, but can be rented locally.
Local rental companies will deliver the items to the home (fee applies for the 4x4 beaches).
WiFi is offered in all homes except for Twiddy Traditional homes (property numbers end with a “T”) unless otherwise noted.
A limited number of 1:00 pm check-ins are available for a nominal fee. Requests must be made and confirmed by phone and paid for in advance of arrival.
We cannot offer this service for certain homes, including those with 7 or more bedrooms or homes occupied by owners the preceding week. Please contact
our office to confirm availability and arrange for early check-in to be added to your reservation.
Homes are generally rented on a per week basis. We do not offer partial week stays. You can stay for as long as you like during that week, but you still have to pay for the week.
*IMPORTANT: A small number of homes do allow partial week rentals for a 3-4 night stay. These homes will only confirm a partial week stay 14 days in advance or 7 days if during a holiday week. You cannot book partial stays online at this time. Please call our office to receive availability/pricing and to book.
The majority of our rentals are from Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday, and a few Friday to Friday.
Should a home still be available for a mid-week stay 7-14 days prior to arrival. We are happy to see if the homeowner would allow it, however, most homes will still require a full week (ex. Mon-Mon).

There are two urgent care centers in Kitty Hawk, approximately 20-25 miles from Corolla and 5 miles from Duck.
The Outer Banks Hospital is in Nags Head which is 33 miles from Corolla and 18 miles from Duck.

Beach Warning Flags
During dangerous surf conditions, red "No Swimming" flags fly at beach entrances. Whenever red flags are flying, swimming is prohibited. At such times, ocean conditions have been determined to be unsafe and swimmers are at serious risk of injury or death if they enter the water. For your safety, please heed all red flag warnings.
Rip currents are fast-moving currents of water that can quickly pull even the strongest swimmers away from the shore. Since the current flows under water, it’s important to know the signs of a rip current and avoid the water in that area.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), indicators of rip currents include:
Be sure to read lifeguard stand signs when arriving at the beach. If you see warning signs of rip currents or moderate or high hazard flags, stay out of the water and alert others to do the same. If caught in a rip current, you should stay calm to conserve energy. Don’t try to fight the current. Instead, swim with the current, and swim toward shore once you’re out of the current.
General Beach Safety
The fun begins where the road ends on this unique stretch of Outer Banks shoreline just south of the Virginia border. A four-wheel drive vehicle and an adventurous spirit are required to explore this beach community, where there are no paved roads, no hotels or restaurants, not even a convenience store! What you’ll find is an uncomplicated, fourteen-mile expanse of wide, sandy beaches, dense maritime forests and marshy soundside coves.
Home to the Corolla wild horses, the possibility of catching a glimpse of these extraordinary creatures is practically commonplace. Keep in mind, they are wild - do not approach them. County ordinance states that you may not come within 50 feet of the horses at any time. Feeding, riding or petting a wild horse is prohibited. A wild horse sighting is always an exciting event, but please remember to use caution and keep your distance.
There are no fixed lifeguard stands on the 4x4 beaches. Three roving lifeguards patrol from the end of the road to the Virginia state line from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Corolla’s pristine beaches are wide with soft sand. Upon crossing the beach access over the dune line to the beach, you will find that the beach is relatively flat, which is ideal terrain for afternoon strolls.
Bringing your dog to Corolla? Beaches are pet-friendly year-round. Leashes are required, but there are no length requirements.

Duck’s beautiful beaches are perfect for exploring or relaxing. When spending any amount of time on the beach in Duck, it’s best to keep the following information in mind.
Beaches are pet-friendly year-round. Dogs are allowed to play unleashed on the beach under close supervision of the owner. Dogs are required to be leashed when in the village or at Duck Town Park. Duck's Leash Law requires that leashes not exceed 10 feet in length.

Relax on the serene beaches of Southern Shores! When spending any amount of time on the beach in Southern Shores, it’s best to keep the following information in mind.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm from May 15th through September 15th. A leash law is enforced the remainder of the year, and leashes cannot exceed 10 feet in length.
There are no public beach accesses with parking in Southern Shores.

In addition to our general beach safety information, the following regulations are specific to Southern Shores.
Salt air and sunshine are plentiful on Kitty Hawk's Beaches. Enjoy many public beach access with parking, and convenience to a variety of shops and restaurants.
Dogs are permitted on the beach. The dog owner is responsible for and must remove feces and possess a bag/container for waste removal at all times. From the Friday before Memorial Day until the day after Labor Day between the hours of 10:00 am and 6:00 pm dogs must be on a leash not exceeding 6 feet.
At all other times during the year, dogs must be restrained on a leash retractable to 12 feet. Dogs may be taken off the leash only if they will not disturb other beachgoers. Unleashed dogs must be controlled by the dog owner, who must remain within 30 feet of the dog at all times. A leash must be with owner at all times.
Kitty Hawk Beach Accesses:
Multiple public beach accesses with parking are available in the Town of Kitty Hawk. The town also has a handicap accessible public sound access at Windgrass Circle. The sound access has parking and is open from sunrise to thirty minutes past sunset.
Kitty Hawk Lifeguard Stands:
Roving lifeguards (4x4 trucks and ATVs) are on patrol from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Lifeguards are on duty at fixed stands from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, from Memorial Day through Labor Day. From Labor Day through September 30th, Ocean Rescue Staff will be on duty from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Lifeguard stands are located at the following locations:
Kitty Hawk Beach Regulations
Kill Devil Hills beaches provide the perfect backdrop for salty family fun. Bring your cooler, beach toys, and boogie boards for a good time.
Dogs are not permitted on the beach between the hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm from May 15th through September 15th, unless they are aiding the handicapped. At all other times, leashed dogs are permitted on the beaches.
