Located on the oceanfront in the Whalehead neighborhood of Corolla, this recently constructed beach home is the perfect combination of comfort, stylish decor, and modern amenities. The entire home is decorated with elements of seagrass, driftwood, and tranquil waters. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were designed with gathering and relaxation in mind. The main house offers three levels of common areas, sleeping quarters, and entertainment. The guest house, which joins the main house via covered decks, offers additional bedrooms.
The top level of the main house is an effortless combination of relaxation and function, with a backdrop of stunning ocean views. The large kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals for a crowd. There is an elevator just off of the kitchen to help get groceries up to the third floor to be unloaded into the pantry or two refrigerators. A six-burner stovetop, two dishwashers, a stand-alone ice machine and plenty of counter space make meal preparation and cleanup a breeze. Ample countertop seating and an open floorplan allows conversation to flow freely while meals are being prepared. The nearby large dining table boasts 16 dining chairs with additional counter seating for 10 more. There are two seating areas in the great room, both offering comfortable seating. A half bathroom is located nearby for convenience. Step out onto the deck and choose your preferred seating to enjoy the salty ocean breeze. Eat breakfast on the deck while enjoying a gorgeous OBX sunrise, or simply have an afternoon cocktail in one of the rocking chairs. There is one master bedroom on the top level of the main house, which includes a private bathroom and covered deck access.
The middle level of the main house features six master bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Four of the master bedrooms face the ocean and offer deck access, where you’ll find several seating areas, including chaise lounges for sunbathing. One of the master bedrooms is a place for the kids to retreat to, with three sets of bunk beds. A laundry room is located on the middle level as well.
The lower level of the home is the ultimate fun zone, indoors and out. Inside, the rec room features a pool table, and arcade games, including Golden Tee. Screen the latest movies in the theatre room, which features comfortable furniture, to take family movie night to the next level. There is a wet bar with a full size refrigerator and stand-alone ice machine in the rec room to ensure that snacks and cold drinks are always nearby, as well as a half bathroom so you never have to stray too far away from the fun. One master bedroom, with a private bathroom, can be found on the lower level, as well as a second set of laundry facilities. The games continue outside, where you’ll find an outdoor ping pong table and shuffleboard under covered decks. The spacious pool patio features the private pool, hot tub, cornhole boards, and multiple seating options, including chaise lounges and a daybed. The outdoor covered bar area is a great place to stay cool, grab a drink, and check the score of the big game on the outdoor TV. Additional seating in the nearby covered cabana includes a small dining table and chairs, as well as a seating area with sofa, chairs, and a coffee table. There is a private walkway to the beach with steps for easy access to the beach.
The guest house features two levels of bedrooms and bathrooms. On level three, there is a master bedroom with a king bed and a master bedroom with two full beds. Each master bedroom has a private bathroom, and both master bedrooms open to a sitting area with a wet bar. Level three of the guest house connects to level three of the main house by a covered deck. On level two of the guest house, there are two master bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, attached to a sitting area with a wet bar. One master bedroom has a king bed and the other master bedroom has Duo bunk set and a twin over twin bunk set. The second level of the guest house connects to the second floor of the main house by a covered deck. The two levels of the guest house access each other by an exterior stairway.
