“Casa Playa” bursts with ocean vibes, perfect for your Outer Banks vacation! This semi-oceanfront gem in Whalehead sits just across the street from the nearest beach access and offers ocean views that feel like part of the décor. The home strikes a balance between roomy gathering spaces and private retreats, making it the ideal choice for big families or mixed-group get-togethers.
Inside, the home’s common areas are built for connection and comfort. The great room on the top level, with its wraparound decks, provides sweeping views of the ocean. Get comfortable in the living area and watch TV or simply catch up with one another. The kitchen is fully equipped (multiple refrigerators, large pantry, lots of cooking tools); it’s perfect for anything from pancake mornings to seafood feasts. In addition to the large dining table, there is a breakfast bar as well as barstool seating at the kitchen island.
For fun and downtime, the theater room and rec room downstairs on the ground floor offer entertainment, including movie nights and pool table tournaments, with lounging spots for both kids and adults. Stock the nearby kitchenette with drinks and snacks for convenience.
Outdoors, the private pool will be the gathering place for sunny afternoon swims. The nearby hot tub becomes the evening’s unwind zone. The generous decks, both open and shaded, invite lazy mornings, quiet reading, or evening laughter. Bedrooms in Casa Playa are designed as restful and roomy escapes. There are eight ensuite bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Two bedrooms share a bathroom between them. Each bedroom offers deck access, which is great for waking up to salt air or stepping outside for night-sky stargazing.
Proximity to Corolla attractions makes this home more than just a beach stay. The Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Corolla Village, shops, and restaurants in Timbuck II are all within easy driving distance. Wild horse tours, nature walks, and beach excursions add both adventure and beauty to the day-trip lineup.
