Well maintained with high end amenities

The home was well equipped with very comfortable deck chairs, beach chairs and umbrellas. The kitchen provided everything we needed- it felt like we were in our own home with crock pots and all the utensils a master cook would every need. The tiki bar, showers and walk way to the beach were extremely convenient and allowed us to take advantage of the beach everyday. This was our first time staying in the 4 wheel drive section and will not be our last!

This was the most beautiful & peaceful home we've ever rented. Not only was the home lovely, but it was also comfortable. There was only the two of us with our small dog, so we only used the top floor of this big house (but the other bedrooms were also very nice). We loved the large wrap around decks. We were visited by wild horses everyday. Having the walkway out to the beach was great, we really enjoyed not having to trudge through lots of sand to get to the beach. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we could possibly need. We liked that the neighboring houses weren't too close.

Fantastic! The exterior lift for supplies etc would have been nice to use but it was locked. Kind of hard to carry things up the stairs with furniture at all the landings. The foosball game should be free rather than coin operated.

Questions & Answers
Does the football table require coin to operate ? Also, How is the vehicle traffic and can you thoroughly enjoy the beach during the day with the vehicle traffic?
Excellent questions, John! The foosball table does not require coins to operate. Many of our guests enjoy the beaches on the 4x4 area. However, the beach is essentially the highway. There are signs that designate where to drive and where to park. The middle of the beach is for parked vehicles and beach-goers. The speed limits is 35 mph unless within 300 feet of pedestrians or wild horses. Then is drops to 15 mph. Would an AWD vehicle be suitable for access to this property - such as a Subaru Outback wagon? Or is a bonafide 4WD required? Thanks.
Great question, Kathy! We only recommend 4-wheel drive vehicles for accessing these homes. For additional information on the 4x4 beaches, please visit www.twiddy.com/faq.aspx#4x4 and www.twiddy.com/outer-banks-4x4-driving.aspx.

Is this house air conditioned? Central or individually controllable? Are the curtains/shades enough to shut out almost all the light in the morning, so I can sleep late?
Thank you for your inquiry, Sue! Central heating and cooling is a standard amenity for every Twiddy home. Yes, V12245 currently provides blinds for the windows and sliders in the bedrooms. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Hi, we are excited to be coming to Under the Carova Sun. Question: Coffee? Should we bring coffee grounds or the Keurig cup type of coffee? Or maybe you have both. Thanks.
Hi Gregg, the home has a standard coffee pot, please bring coffee grounds and filters for your stay.

does Under the Carova Sun provide beach chairs and beach umbrellas? thanks.
Great question, RJ! Beach chairs are an advertised amenity and there will be at least 5 waiting for you at the home. Equipment such as bicycles and beach supplies are considered specialty items and not advertised amenities. As a result we do not require owners to provide them nor do we take inventory of what may be in the home upon arrival. We recommend some local resources in our area who rent daily as well as weekly should you choose not to bring those items with you. Please give our office a call if you would like their contact information.
