Get ready for a memorable stay at “Dragonfly Knoll” on the Outer Banks! Located on the 4x4 beach, the adventure begins as you drive along the beach to the home. Be on the lookout for the Corolla wild horses that roam the area. This vacation retreat offers outstanding panoramic views and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Spacious rooms and amenities that create a memorable, relaxing stay.
On the top floor, the great room offers outstanding ocean views through the large windows. The well-stocked kitchen offers multiple appliances and is ideal for making big pancake breakfasts or elaborate seafood feasts. Gather together in the dining area, which also features stunning views of the ocean. A sitting area off the dining area provides a space for quiet reflection. Spacious decks overlooking the ocean allow maximum outdoor relaxation and optimal views of spectacular sunrises.
On the middle floor, you’ll find a sunroom, ideal for reading or simply relaxing in a quiet atmosphere. The rec room on the ground floor has a pool table, and a wet bar with a refrigerator is nearby. There is also a separate room with foosball to keep the friendly competition going.
When it’s time to rest and recharge, each of the bedrooms is comfortably appointed. Seven of the nine bedrooms are ensuite, each with a private bathroom. There are laundry facilities conveniently situated on both the middle and ground floors.
There is a walkway from the second-floor deck to the gated swimming pool area, which contains lounge chairs, a cabana with a sound system and wet bar, and a hot tub for added enjoyment. There is also a bathroom with a shower. A deck above the cabana offers additional relaxation space. A private walkway from the pool area to the ocean with steps allows easy access to the beach.

Situated on the wonderfully unique 4x4 Beaches, Carova Beach offers vacationing friends and families the opportunity to enjoy time together on the coast without the distractions of a bustling neighborhood environment. A four-wheel drive vehicle is needed to navigate the beaches where Carova Beach rental homes are located. The northern-most community of the 4x4 Beaches, Carova Beach is approximately 8 miles from the beach access ramp and stretches north for about 3 miles to the Virginia border. While there are no roads, restaurants, or shops in Carova Beach, what you will find is a breathtakingly beautiful & vast shoreline, roaming wild horses and a positively ideal vacation environment.
