The top two levels were spectacular and the view was sensational. The amenities were nice, especially the kitchen area. Seemed like everything we needed was present. The two primary things we were looking for was easy beach access, and a nice pool area. This place met both expectations. Large house next door was vacant for the week. It is extremely close and if occupied, we feel we would have had a much less private experience.

Questions & Answers
Hi there! I see that you do not recommend all wheel drive vehicles, why is that? Don't these vehicles provide an advantage because they can redirect power if traction to a wheel is lost?
Joe, there are no paved roads in the northern Outer Banks beaches — travel is over loose sand roads and actual sand dunes. All wheel drive (AWD) vehicles are not recommended for this area due to ground clearance and traction concerns—our experience shows that AWD vehicles in this area are problematic at best. 4x4 vehicles with off-road ground clearance are recommended with reduced air pressure for beach travel. Please consult your vehicle manual and manufacturer for specific information. Twiddy & Company will not be responsible for vehicle recovery if inappropriate vehicles are used for access to the northern beaches.

One of the bedroom photo has a crib shown, is that crib available for use? Also, upstairs in dining area is a highchair, is that also available?
Barbara, we do not advertise, guarantee or provide baby equipment in our homes due to the constantly changing safety standards and product recalls of these kinds of items. You're more than welcome to bring your own or contact Moneysworth, Ocean Atlantic Rentals, or Just for the Beach, as they provide equipment rentals. Do we need to bring paper products such as napkins and paper towels? Also what about dish detergent for washing dishes and also for the dishwasher? Do you provide kitchen towels and washcloths?
This is a great question, Dawn! You will need to supply your own paper products and household supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, dish soap. laundry detergent, etc. The home will supply 2 dish towels for you in the kitchen, but sponges/wash clothes are not provided. we are considering the week of 4-19. we have a 4 WD chevy silverado PU truck and an F150. We are from Maine. How difficult is the drive in? Saw some of the videos. looks a little bit hairy. How long is the typical drive in in time? Thank you DanO
A 4-wheel drive truck is fine, but we do not recommend all-wheel drive vehicles. The time to reach the home would depend upon the number of miles north of the beach access it is. These link to the 4x4 driving pages of our web site have lots of good information for our guests considering a vacation in that area: www.twiddy.com/homes/4x4/ www.twiddy.com/outer-banks-4x4-driving.aspx
