Schooner Ridge's central location gives vacationing guests the convenience of being close to Duck's fantastic shops and restaurants. This classic coastal destination offers all the elements for a memorable Outer Banks getaway.

Schooner Ridge offers high elevations and sweeping views from homes perched atop the sand dunes. Vacation homes tend to reflect a more traditional Outer Banks style and vary in size from four to six bedrooms. An oceanfront outdoor pool, beach access with parking, tennis courts, clubhouse with racquetball courts, indoor pool, outdoor pool, video game room and workout room are all available to Schooner Ridge guests.

The Clubhouse Indoor Heated Pool is open year-round. The clubhouse, fitness rooms, tennis courts & playground are open year-round. The Clubhouse Outdoor Pool is located at 119 Schooner Ridge Drive and open from 8 AM to 8 PM June through mid-September, weather permitting. The Oceanfront Outdoor Pool is located on the oceanfront at the end of Schooner Ridge Drive. This pool is open from 9 AM to 9 PM, mid-May through early October, weather permitting.

There are two outdoor tennis courts located behind the clubhouse. Racquets are available for rent.

Check-In Instructions

Amenities available prior to check-in. Upon arrival, register at the Schooner Ridge clubhouse located at 121 Schooner Ridge Drive to receive your parking pass and community packet.

Roll receptacles to the curb the night before the scheduled collection day. There is a vendor that rolls all trash and recycle cans back to the house after pick-up.

Off-season recycling (November 1 - April 30) is on the 1st & 3rd Monday of the month only.

Community Rules
  • No Street Parking
  • No RVs
  • No Boats
  • No Trailers

RVs, trailers and boats are not permitted within the community unless they fit completely in the garage or carport.

Parking passes are required Memorial Day-Labor Day. Towing Enforced. Parking on the street is prohibited.

Wristbands are required to be worn when using all amenities, including accessing the beach via the walkway. These wristbands will be provided when the guest checks-in at the clubhouse.

Tents are NOT permitted within 50 ft. on either side of the beach access. Also, per the Town of Duck ordinance, no items are to be left on the beach overnight. Items are subject to removal. Personal belongings, including beach equipment, are not to be left on the beach walkway. Items left are subject to removal by maintenance.

Golf carts are to be parked in a designated parking space, display a parking pass, and must be driven by a licensed driver. Carts parked on the grass or roadside are subject to towing. (see attached document for further information).

Outdoor lights and speakers should be turned off by 11:00 PM.
