"The windows on the second floor living area were wonderful. Fantastic views! Having the community pool in your backyard was awesome! This was one of the cleanest beach houses I've stayed in."

"Beach access - had our own boardwalk. Pool location - right next to home. Cleanliness - home was free of waste. Didn’t even notice any sand within. Bathrooms - multiple rooms had their own personal bathroom within the bedroom. House floor plan - open floor plan with floor to ceiling windows (great to walk into sunshine on top floor). Kitchen/dining area allowed residents a beautiful site while eating and preparing food."

"Great location, close to shops & restaurants, and most importantly, to the ocean. To awaken each morning and take in the view of the sea is fantastic. While not a huge home, Surf’s Up offers great space and a lot of privacy (good construction-no tv noises between bedrooms or from living area to bedrooms below). Kitchen is very well equipped. House was very clean upon our arrival w/ clean linens on beds and towels sanitized and wrapped. The community pool being adjacent to the property was very convenient for the teens in our group (note: could not hear noise from pool inside the house). Comfortable furnishings allowed us to really relax and enjoy our time here."

"The house was a perfect size for our family, and everything was in excellent condition. The bathrooms and appliances were all moderns and new. And we loved the location—oceanfront, near the pool, and close to downtown Duck."

"This home gets better every year (it’s our 5th year!). The homeowner is doing a great job of maintaining the home and improving the amenities. We especially appreciated the gas grill, extra pillows, and all the additional outside furniture. It was spotless when we arrived. Our only negative comment is on the new location of the tv. The glare from the sun (that darn sun! LOL!!) in the morning is crazy even with all the shades pulled and drapes drawn. We liked it better in the upper sitting room but I can understand guests with kids would like it in the living room. Overall we give it a A+++ and have already reserved it for next year."

"This home was awesome for 4 adults and 4 kids. The location on the beach and near the community pool was so convenient. The outdoor shower was used often! The bathrooms are updated, the bedrooms were nice and the beds are very comfortable!! The house needs a little Love on the exterior with paint chipping, some rusty nails and deck boards splintering. The decks were amazing overlooking the ocean, some more Outdoor deck furniture would have been awesome."

"Surfs Up is a great home! Loved that there were two master bedrooms with en suites and a third bathroom for the other two bedrooms. Beds were so comfortable and a large selection of pillows. Furniture on the top deck was great and so was the view. Great room and kitchen were beautiful with a half bath which was so handy. We also loved the sitting area a few steps up from the great room for tv watching and reading. Tv's in all the bedrooms was a nice touch also. We have rented several homes from Twiddy over the past 12 years and this is one of our favorites."

"Our group of 6 adults throughly enjoyed this beautiful vacation home. The kitchen is very well stocked, the decor is very attractive and comfortable and most important to us over 50 crowd - the beds were very comfortable! The beautiful views and private walkway will keep us coming back again. I appreciated that the TV was located in the upstairs den loft area. This encouraged conversation over music without TV background noise. The location is absolutely perfect, located right in the heart of Duck!"

"Overall, Surf’s Up is a great vacation home for a family or group of 6 or so. The views are amazing and access to the beach is perfect. The home’s condition is similar to many others in Duck, needs some TLC but not a show stopper. We did have recurring problem with the dishwasher that required maintenance service once and then messing with the electric panel breakers. Likewise, many outlets only worked when light switches were turned on. We would definitely return - the off season was fantastic for privacy and a quiet beach."
