This was our first time visiting Corolla. The community of Buck Island was great with the easy beach access and wonderful pool. The home "One More Day" was prefect for our family. It was nicely furnished and provided a great location between the beach access and pool. The owners have done an excellent job of providing everything you will need while on vacation. We enjoyed our time here tremendously.

Review for One More Day, in Buck Island, NC.

Very pleasant house right on the beach in generally good condition. The additional "media rooms," which included doors, were a plus with our large crowd. he neighborhood and proximity to the grocery store were also pluses. Only negative was the distance from the bridge, meaning a longer drive during high-traffic hours. The upside of this location was that the crowds were a lot lower than at other OBX locations.

Review for Beach Break, in Buck Island, NC.

This is the 8th year our family has rented Milky Way. We learned that the home was flooded twice earlier in the fall of 2016. We had booked the home for an Oct. rental, but were unable to stay there due to flooding damage. The owners were kind enough to apply our rental fees for Oct to our rental this spring. That was greatly appreciated since my husband and I pay the entire fee. We also saw that the entire lower level of the home has been redone. The furnishings and bedding were lovely and we appreciate the care and thought that was taken to put everything in place for the season. Our youngest grandson (when he was quite little) called the home "the red beach". We often refer to that name as well as the bridge over the sound as "the happy bridge". So many memories made in Milky Way and we look forward to many more. Being there truly feels like being in our "summer home" for that one week. We try each year to respect the property and to leave it as nice and orderly as we find it upon checking in.

Review for Milky Way, in Buck Island, NC.

Great home with a beautiful pool that we very much enjoyed. The house was neat and very clean upon arrival and we loved all of the space on the upper level for our family of 11. Plenty of seating for lounging and eating. We were pleasantly surprised to find high chairs and baby gates as we had two babies in our group. Short and easy walk to the beach and a pretty view of the ocean from the house. Location was close and convenient to restaurants and shops (just across the street). We loved the closet full of games and puzzles and had a lot of fun playing with those throughout the week. There was also a closet full of bikes and pool toys which was another fun surprise. We so enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this house to others!

Review for The Yorkshire, in Buck Island, NC.

While this home isn't ocean front, the location is great if you like the convenience of shopping, grocery store, tennis courts, children's playground and restaurants within walking distance. There was also a golf cart which helped tremendously and made things very easy when going to the beach. We rented one as well so with 2 that was even better especially with kids and grandparents. The TV and DVD players could use updating but overall we had a great time??
