Seeking an OBX vacation home that has it all? They call it “Mellow Yellow I” in Corolla! This cheerful semi-oceanfront home offers ocean views and exceptional coastal living. Featuring six bedrooms and a catalog of fun and convenient amenities, your entire group will enjoy making memories at this home.
Those in your group who like to play golf are in for a treat, as discounted rates are available at two local courses. Guests at “Mellow Yellow I” will receive member-guest rates at the championship Currituck Club Golf Course, designed by Rees Jones. The course is located approximately five minutes from the home. Preferred rate tee times can be booked by calling The Currituck Club Pro Shop at (252) 453-9400 ext. 1 and letting them know you are staying at “Mellow Yellow I” in Corolla. In addition, preferred green fee rates at Kilmarlic Golf Club are available, as well as transportation to and from the course.
On the third floor, the great room is the home’s main gathering space. Relax in the comfortably furnished living area and chat with loved ones or watch TV. During the cooler months of the year, there is a gas fireplace available for use. Outside on the sun deck, soak in the sunshine and salty breeze. The nearby kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare meals throughout your stay, just add your groceries. Two dishwashers are a huge help when it’s time to clean up after meals. Enjoy family meals together in the dining area or outside on the screened porch. Step out from the screened porch to a sun deck that overlooks the pool area, or go up the spiral staircase to the rooftop-level deck to get a better view of the ocean. Back inside, there is one master bedroom on the third level, which features a fireplace, deck access, and a private bathroom with a whirlpool tub. A half bathroom is also included on the top level.
There are two master bedrooms on the second floor, each with a private bathroom and one with access to the covered deck. Two additional bedrooms, one with deck access, and one full bathroom can also be found on the middle level, as well as laundry facilities. On the ground floor, you’ll find the final bedroom, which has a semi-private bathroom that opens to the common area.
In the rec room on the ground floor, kick back and relax as you watch TV or choose to play the arcade game. Stock the nearby wet bar refrigerator with drinks and snacks so refreshments can be readily available. The wet bar is also equipped with an ice machine, which is convenient to the pool area nearby.
Outdoor living is at its finest in the home’s pool area. Take a dip in the generously sized private pool. There is a separate kiddie pool for the little ones in your group. The nearby gazebo offers ample seating, an outdoor fireplace, and a wet bar, allowing you to enjoy lunch or dinner outdoors without leaving the pool area. In addition to the amenities at the home, the gated Buck Island neighborhood offers impressive community amenities, including a community pool, community tennis and pickleball courts, a basketball court, a playground, and a lighted walkway to the beach. Many of Corolla’s best shops, restaurants, and attractions are within walking distance of the home. Have a memorable vacation with family and friends at “Mellow Yellow I” in Corolla!
