"We have stayed in the Ocean Sands development several times and love the location. This 'D' section is close to everything you need. We walked or rode bikes many times to Harris Teeter (which includes an in-store Starbucks!) which is so convenient. The public walkway is very close which was good, especially for my 90 year old mother (quite a few stairs, but she insisted she liked the exercise). The house had more than enough room and comfortable beds for the 11 adults in our group, including a nice hang out area on the middle deck. I only wish the tiki bar would have been ready for our visit, however, the kitchenette area on the lower level was close to the pool so the prep of frozen drinks was not an issue (great ice maker there). All in all a wonderful two weeks here despite Erin blowing through during our first week."

"We really liked that each bedroom had either a private, attached bathroom or a Jack and Jill shared bathroom with the bunk bed rooms next store for families with kids. The kitchen was well set up for large gatherings with two dishwashers and two fridges and was well equipped with plates/utensils/cookware, etc."

"This home was perfect for our large extended family! The house was well appointed and had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The pool and hot tubs were a nice bonus and well kept and the proximity to the beach was great!"
"The number of bedrooms with dedicated bathrooms was just what we were looking for, along with the proximity to the beach. Pool was great too, especially for the little ones. Also the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans."

"We love twiddy. Have used them for years. Love outerbanks! We took our children and now our grandchildren too. We will continue to use twiddy. This house was great. We did keep getting crabs in pool everyday, so check to scoop out before swimming. Beds are very very firm, not used to that. Could use some cheap larger shower heads but loved the house. Thank you!"
"Porpoise Watch had every amenity that we needed for our group of 12. As with so many structures that have constant sea wind/spray, the exterior needs some TLC. The heated pool at no additional cost was really a hit with our four small grandchildren. The top level living area is open and large. The dining table has seven chairs, but the counter with four stools is at one end. We also brought a couple of chairs down from the ship's watch area. This is not a complaint, but a comment: the mattresses are quite firm. One of our family is used to a plusher mattress, and kept a backache all week. Consider bringing a topper if you prefer a softer mattress. You will be notified to bring your own blankets. And we did. The provided sheets and pillows are fine. This home does not have a private walkway to the beach. Access is only one house away, and there is a little sand path between the dune and the pool that meets the boardwalk. Beware of those nasty sandspurs! Or walk on the street to the boardwalk. There were several beach chairs and a beach buggy at the home. We enjoyed using these. We engaged Twiddy a couple of times. One - we didn't receive a text on Sunday with notification that the home was ready. At 4:30, we entered the home, and found that it had indeed been cleaned and prepped for us. We let the Twiddy team know of the communication breakdown as an FYI. At the same time, we noticed that the first level side door was not locked when we arrived. We couldn't lock it either, and Twiddy sent a maintenance rep immediately. It turned out that we just didn't know how to lock it (and obviously someone before us didn't either). The rep explained how the lock functioned and we were only a little embarrassed. As I write this, my daughter-in-law has been in contact with Twiddy hoping to recoup some of her two year old's clothing that were inadvertently left behind in a drawer. Fingers crossed that we can get these back, even though we were at fault for not checking the drawers. In summary, we would rent this property again."

"Lovely house with great amenities. Outside of house needs some work but the hot tub on the top deck and the fully stocked kitchen more than make up for it. Beds are VERY firm, plan to bring bed topper for those that need a softer mattress."
"Home was nice, had a lot more items then listed. The home does need some exterior TLC and the pool lights didn’t work at all. But over all it was nice and roomy, great views."
"Great home, great location, loved how many Master Bedrooms with King beds and private baths this house had! Loved having three refrigerator/freezers! House needs minor TLC (exterior painting and updated decor), and exterminator needs to spray for crickets and other bugs. Overall, great house!"
