Treat your family to scenic views and modern coastal comfort at “Lagoa!” With unique details throughout, this contemporary beach house was designed by acclaimed University of Virginia and Princeton University Architect Cynthia Mosby Design. Over 100 windows allow natural light and scenic views into the home. The home backs up to a lagoon, offering scenic views as well as privacy.
On the top floor, the great room features windows on all sides of the room, allowing natural light to highlight the architectural details of the space. The living area offers a comfortable setting to catch up with loved ones or to curl up with a good book. Across the room, you’ll find the kitchen, which is as attractive as it is functional. The kitchen is stocked with all that you need to prepare meals for the duration of your stay, just add groceries. Kitchen countertop seating is available for a quick breakfast, or take your morning coffee outside onto the deck for horizon views of the sun rising over the ocean. Family meals can be enjoyed together in the dining area just off the kitchen, or have dinner outside on the screened porch. There is one master bedroom on the third floor, which features the same modern coastal design features as the common spaces. The master bedroom has a private deck that overlooks the lagoon and includes a private bathroom with a beautiful clawfoot tub. A half bathroom completes the top level of the home.
The additional bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the second floor of the home. There is one master bedroom, which includes a private bathroom. Two additional bedrooms, a full bathroom, and laundry facilities are also included on the second floor.
On the first floor, you’ll find a den with a TV, perfect for catching up on your shows if the weather happens to be rainy. From the den, step outside onto the deck to enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Natural vegetation surrounds the hot tub deck, making it the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day.
The beach access at Mockingbird Lane is a short walk away, offering the opportunity to quickly walk back to the home for snacks or more sunblock. Two outdoor showers are available for washing the sand off after a long day at the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, yet shopping, dining, and attractions are all located within just a few minutes’ driving distance. “Lagoa” is the perfect place to make treasured Outer Banks family vacation memories!
