There are pool and ping pong tables, a lovely swimming pool, lots of pool toys, and a hot tub. It is like a resort! "The Sandy Duck is a wonderful beach house! The beach access is very close, and it's a quick drive into Duck for the many shops, restaurants and the soundside boardwalk. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are multiple places to hang out including the many decks and the pool. Also, we really enjoyed watching the sunrise from the upper level. It has become one of our favorite OBX houses to rent."

"The Sandy Duck was the PERFECT vacation with family and friends! Just steps from a quiet beach that sits next to a preserve, we enjoyed our morning coffee on the top deck with a sunrise over the Atlantic. The rooms were beautifully appointed with coastal decor and the sunroom was a lovely retreat for parents to enjoy dinner or card game with a panaromic view. Plenty of rainy day fun in the downstairs game room with billards and ping pong. Easy walk or bike into town for some delicious seafood and drinks. Great space and well-stocked for kids and parents!"

"overall, pretty darn great. however being a new rental, there were definitely issues; none of them a big deal but not great for the first impression. twiddy was incredibly responsive and their customer service is exceptional. the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and appliances; there was a great selection of beach games and chairs, etc. it was one of the best weeks i've had in a long long time. getting to watch wildlife in the preserve next door was the cherry on top."
