B964Relax and enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery at “The Lookout!” This spacious cottage is surrounded by trees, creating your own coastal sanctuary to enjoy during your stay. Located a short walk from the beach, the home offers horizon views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the nearby Currituck Sound, allowing you to see both the sunrise and the sunset. The artists and naturalists in your group will be inspired by the elegance of “The Lookout” in the heart of Sanderling.
On the top level of the home, the spacious custom kitchen is well-furnished with stainless steel appliances, granite and butcher block countertops, and a large pantry to stock with groceries. The home elevator helps with unloading luggage and getting groceries up to the kitchen is a breeze. The beautifully furnished living and dining areas both offer views of the Currituck Sound. Up in the ship’s watch, you can relax with a good book or watch the sky change colors at sunset. Views of the sound are also available in the spacious master bedroom, which includes an extra large private bathroom with a relaxing whirlpool tub. A half bathroom can also be found on the top floor of the home.
On the middle floor of the home, four additional bedrooms share two full bathrooms. Spacious common areas can be found on the second floor, both inside and outside of the home. The centrally located common space has a piano and a table that is perfect for playing cards. Double doors open to a large deck with hammock swings and corner seating that can be utilized for outdoor entertaining or a peaceful place to enjoy the sunset. Also located on this level is a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator and a microwave for easy refreshment access, as well as a generous laundry space.
On the ground level, there is a game room with a foosball table. Just outside, relax in the beautiful backyard and watch for local wildlife. When you’re ready to get your toes in the sand, the beach is approximately a 5-minute walk away. Community pool access is available at Sanderling Racquet and Swim Club. There is a main pool, a children’s wading pool, and a soundside dock. Tennis is also available for a fee. The natural surroundings of Sanderling provide access to nature trails and sound access for a relaxing family beach vacation. Bike or make the short drive into Duck Villages for restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and much more. Your family will love making vacation memories at “The Lookout!”
