"Walkway to the beach and the wrap around porch is amazing. Beds are comfortable. Horses in the yard and them being close up was an added bonus to the house. Kitchen was greatly stocked with cookware and serving dishes and the knives were like home!! Ice maker was the biggest hit and surprise for our group. We used this to its fullest!"

"This home was lovely, and had lots of updates from the listed pictures. This was the best stocked house we have ever stayed at- I can’t think of anything you might need that the house did not supply. The house was a great set up for a large group. My only complaint was we did not realize from the listing that you can’t even see the beach or ocean from the house because of the high sand dunes. I understand that is out of the home owner control, but we stay in ocean front houses every year and these were the highest dunes we have ever saw (our first OBX stay)."

"This beach house is amazing! We loved the spacious living/dining/kitchen area, everyone could hangout together without being too crowded. Lots of natural light. The private walk way to the beach was great, and the wrap around porch added lovely seating to relax and listen to the waves. We really enjoyed the hammock, rocking chairs on the porch, the outdoor shower, the large ice maker, and extra fridge! The house had a lovely charm to it and the features were such a great bonus! We saw lots of horses near the house and by the beach!"

"We rented Beyond Buxton in October. Our vacation could not have been at a better time of year. The location of the house is great. Quiet, and very relaxing. The wrap around porch and the walkway with the seating area on the dunes was worth the price alone. The only things we would want different would be that the house is in need of some upgrades. The oven is not correct with the temp selected. The master bedroom bed is too high and it sags in the middle pretty bad. The floor is starting to warp also. Overall I will say though that I would still rent again."
The floors have warped because the windows had gone bad, we replaced EVERG window since. I would not place hardwood again. The floors are fairly new. Sorry bed is not comfy, first I ever heard that . I, stay downstairs because u prefer not to climb stairs . Hope you return

Woukd live to hear your suggestions for updates however, we have rebuilt walkway to beach. Wrap around porch, had ceilings painted inside house. Replaced fridge, dishwasher, stove Microwave and Flooring, All in past 2 years. There is more, but please understand we fight to stay on top of issues.
"Great house and plenty of room for our family of 9 and 2 dogs.Did not see many horses probably a total of 6 through out the week.Two deer were frequent visitors. Beautiful lighted deck with clear view of beach.The drive in was tough,had to drive down sandpiper instead of the beach because the sand was so soft the trucks were just getting stuck.The ice machine was a bonus only thing is alarm kept going off we had to keep the door to the kitchen open so it would not over heat. Vacation started off rough but finished off great we did not want to leave. Fishing was tough only caught 1 king fish and 1 needle nose fish which was cool to see.We did have a 3 foot shark swimming in the surf one day.Plenty of dolphin activity everyday.House was great and had a great feel to it."
"What an experience!! Having never stayed at a home with only a beach access, it was learning something new every day!! The house was roomy, warm, homey and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. It’s obvious that thought was put into providing a vacation home for friends and family. It was great having 2 refrigerators. Be prepared for driving in , sometimes, deep sand ruts. But it was fun being so close to the horses. They were a daily part of your life!! We had a great time!! The owner is actively working to maintain the integrity, of the house, and are doing a wonderful job doing repairs and improvements. Thanks for letting us make your home, our home for an incredible week!!"
"The house was great and a good fit for our family of 8 plus pet. Had all the items for cooking. Was thrilled to see two refrigerators and an awesome ice machine. All appliances worked well but dishwasher was finicky but worked. The rooms space and bed arrangements were perfect for our group Especially like house is pet friendly. The wrap around deck is nice and the deck walk to dune makes getting to beach easy and great viewing the horses."
"Need to upgrade stove and dishwasher after washing dishes still had to clean some by hand and the stove took almost a hour to cook bisquits"
