"Beautiful home. Kitchen is perfect, which led us to cook most meals at home. Beach is a few short steps away on a lovely path. The trails that surround Sanderling and the Duck community are full of green with glimpses of the sound. A lot of fun games for the kids as well. We’ll be back!"
"Irish Mist OBX was perfect! We got lucky and rented this house late in the season as it had just become a rental. We couldn’t have been more happy. The house is very well maintained..updated modern kitchen with everything you need, beautiful screened in porch and other decks with great chairs, all sorts of toys and beach stuff....the location was also perfect. You feel like you are in a private treehouse tucked far away and yet it’s a short walk with a very nice walkway to the beach which made it very easy for my three year old. It is in a very quiet neighborhood which makes the beach empty with lots of wildlife. It also has the added benefit of having access to the sanderling pool and not being far from Duck or Corolla. I don’t want to leave this review because I don’t want people to learn about this secret treasure :) thank you Irish Mist OBX!"
"The home was clean and ready for us. We used it for a work retreat, so not being directly on the beach was ok. The beach access was about 100 feet from the driveway. There is no direct line of sight to the beach, and the house is very well protected by trees. Internet was good (enough for 8 of us to run all week). We did not have the information about trash pick-up, so the bins were full and we did not know they needed to go out. But knowing it was a new property to Twiddy, we understand that info is still being collected. Make sure you bring soaps, TP, Paper towels, and dish towels, as they were not provided. Traffic getting to that end of the island on Saturday was a bit difficult (one way in and one way out), but we persevered. The traffic on the way out was the same....took almost an hour to get 1 mile. But as long as you aren't in a hurry, the location is great. Plus beach access is very secluded so you don't have to worry about extreme crowds. Twiddy is great to work with and very communicative, so ask them questions!"
