There is a wheelchair ramp from this level to the pool area with eight-person hot tub and gas grill.

"Overall we loved the home. It was plenty big for our group of 20 adults and teens. The kitchen was fully stocked with just about any gadget you need. Even a slow cooker and multiple waffle irons. The location on the beach was perfection. We had a few issues when we arrived. The ac was not working in 2 rooms. Within 24 hours they sent an hvac guy and he fixed the issue. In the meantime the maintenance guy they sent initially gave us 2 box fans for the bedroom. It helped. We absolutely loved the 3 ice makers in the home. What a great help that is. Especially the one by the pool. What we didnt love was the fact that the main door was broken and did not have a handle. The other door did not lock and was hard to close. Many of the bedroom doors also did not lock. The little cabana kitchen was also not usable. Otherwise, we would definitely stay in the house again. We just would love to see some little maintenance issues taken care of. Oh and the massage chair was a big hit!!"

"We have been away from this house for a few years and the investment made in upgrades were obvious and appreciated! We particularly loved the new deck area and decking which was much less slippery than the part by the house. Beds were super comfortable and the kitchen very well appointed."

"The home was extremely well stocked. There wasn't a single thing that I said "gee, I wish they had a ..." All of the rooms were comfortable. The beach access was easy. The table area for dining with all of the tables and chairs was perfect for our large group! We really, really like the dishes and dishwashers in the dining room. It made setting the table and cleaning up so very easy."
"Numero Uno is a beautiful house and our family group of five (plus pup) loved our stay. So many great features set this home apart -- wonderful sweeping view of the ocean from the main level, wonderful theater room, fantastic sunroom and nice private gazebo off the beach. Plus so many fine little touches--floor to length mirror in master, luxurious and plush floor coverings throughout the home, many lovely little sitting areas--and great front yard with a horseshoe pit!"

"We loved our stay here! We could not stop talking about how the pool area was on the second floor. Plenty of room for the 15 of us to either be together or get some time to ourselves. The kitchen is so well stocked, we could have left the tote of kitchen "essentials " at home. We have already booked for next year!"

"Home was nice. There were several TV's that were not working and the arcade games did not work. Twiddy was notified at the start of the week. The home owner called us and authorized for repairs but they did not happen. That's why I only gave 4 stars."
"We just had an amazing week at Numero Uno in the OBX. The house is just amazing, it has so many things to do. Even though the weather was not great we never got bored as we played pool, arcade games, we used the sauna, played board games and watch movies in the theater. The house has everything you need. The view is just incredible and the walks on the beach were just beautiful. We need to come back in the summer. We really recommend the house to anyone that want to have a great vacation."
"Numero Uno was such a beautiful home with anything that was needed in the home. Top of the line appliances and anything that is needed for cooking. We found out that if you can’t find what you need, just keep looking the owner has it there. Very clean home, to very comfortable mattresses and pillows, to a very short walk to the ocean edge. "Amazing home! Was the perfect place to celebrate Christmas. The owner decorated the house for the season which was a special touch. The kitchen was professional grade and the house didn’t feel like a rental. It felt like a home, with very nice furniture and electronics throughout. The sauna, game room with old school arcade games, incredible movie room, huge showers in multiple rooms, as well as everything about the house made it the perfect vacation. The gazebo overlooking the dunes and the ocean was also a unique feature that we loved. Been renting in the OBX for years and Numero Uno did indeed live up to its name. Best house we have ever stayed in. Can’t wait to go back!"
"This was our fifth stay in Numero Uno. The house still functions as well as it always does, however, it has lost it’s charm for us. ALL of the gorgeous murals were removed and replaced with very subdued grey paint. I suppose the new image will be a better neutral background for weddings. The ocean views are still fantastic."
