"This was a late in the season booking. My family needed a well deserved vacation. We have stayed in numerous houses the last 20 years…1-2 a year. One of my adult daughters said that this home was one of her favorite. The common and eating areas were very accommodating. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We had 4 small children traveling with us and it was very reassuring that the pool was separately fenced off with a lock on the gate. This home is simple but had everything we needed. The first thing we noticed upon arriving was how clean it was. We throughly enjoyed our time even with the hurricane looming. Do not hesitate to rent this house for your vacation."

We come back every year because the owners take good care of the home and with every new year there are upgrades to the home and it’s clear the owners keep it up. We’ve tried other homes and they don’t compare to Mother Mother Ocean."

"Beautifully maintained and updated. Generous space for everyone, my granddaughter loves the little furnished nook at the top of the house. The pool is well situated to remain warm and the surrounding greenery offers a feeling of privacy. Our favorite deck faces west for the most spectacular sunsets!"

"Love the location and the house. So close to the beach and shopping, grocery store, and historic Corolla. The house is very bright and comfortable. The decks allow you to see the sunrise over the ocean and the sunset over the sound. Having the pool not right up against the house is a nice touch as it creates some separation between zones. Loved our time at Mother Mother Ocean!"
"We enjoyed our week at Mother Mother Ocean. The views from the front porch were very good of the sea and the sunrise with comfortable and clean deck chairs both Adirondack and Rocking chair style. Convenient location to beach access that took us 3 minutes to reach. Interior of house was very clean upon arrival. Kitchen had new countertops and cabinets as well as flooring. Lots of work space. Back upper porch was nice to sit out on when the sun went down. Furniture in living area was comfortable. Room for improvements include updating the master bath on the main floor. Shortest toilet I have ever experienced , bed was very hard. Half bath on main level did have an upgraded toilet height👍.Multiple screens throughout the house had holes in them which allowed bugs to come in if opened. All screens and windows needed to be power washed along with the screened in porches on both floors which were filled with dead bugs in order to fully enjoy the view. Dead bugs galore in a pile outside the main door to the upper front deck(due to outdoor light being on).Again needed to be power washed every few weeks. Beach chairs are old and rusty except for one. Geared more for children than adults. Glad we brought our own. Had one issue and it was taken care of promptly that day.Overall nice house in great location with further updates could be excellent."
"Overall, we enjoyed our vacation in Mother, Mother Ocean. The proximity to beach and shopping was ideal. The home could use some updates: family room cushions are stained, master bath was awkward and countertops need update, the beach chairs provided were very old and rusty, refrigerator door opened the wrong way and it was cumbersome to remove items. Pool was lovely but could use more shaded seating and a hot tub would have been nice."
