"We loved the location, decor and amenities of the house. Everything in fantastic condition and clearly upgraded year on year. However, both gas grills were in very poor condition (one cause a small fire and we were advised by a twiddy repairman not to use the second as it was not fit for purpose). We also noted that the dumbwaiter did not work this year (as it had done in previous years)."

"This is our 4th year staying at Anticipation. We love the fact that there are 5 master suites so that each guest has their own personal space. The kitchen is well equipped with two full size refrigerators, a gas stove and every appliance needed. The views from the large, beautiful windows is spectacular, so even if raining, you don’t have to worry. You have a lovely view of the ocean and a lovely view of the sound. The land where Anticipation rests in Pine Island does not and could not have a home in front of it, so the views of the sunrises and sunsets are in clear view!"
"This house is spacious enough for five couples and no small number of children. The views looking both east at the ocean and west at the sound are spectacular. The location is otherwise good in that if offers walks on the beach or on the inner road and paths. Furnishings generally were good, especially the bedding."

The kitchen is very nicely stocked with anything you'll need and perfectly laid out and spacious. The dumbwaiter was the biggest life saver! You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and care with what is at this home and as a guest it is so appreciated."

"Anticipation is a wonderful house, there is lots of space to spread out, and the layout is great for privacy and quiet. We had 16 people in the house, it was great for each of us to have a space to get away, but lots of common areas to hangout and spend time together. The kitchen is very well stocked and well laid out. The view from all sides is spectacular, looking out at the water, or at the sunsets on the sound. We loved the house, especially the dumbwaiter."

"This home sits on a beautiful property where the sunrise and sunset views are stunning and beach is beautiful. Kitchen and upper floor living spaces are super nice with comfortable furniture and a lovely fireplace. Game room, hot tub, and sauna set the foundation for a relaxing vacation. Minor suggestions for improvement would be furniture/storage in master bedroom (3rd floor), pool cleaning, nicer beach chairs, cleaning of screened porch, and grill upgrades. We enjoyed a fantastic week in this super pretty property and look forward to returning in the future."
"A wonderful updated home in Pine Island. Our first year and we will be back. The last home we rented in PI we came back to for 15 years! This is our new vacation spot for the next 15 years! Great for large families with children, well stocked with highchairs and crib but most importantly has a "baby pool" that the one year old loved. We anticipate more kids enjoying that pool in future years. Very comfortable living areas. Also has a fantastically stocked kitchen for the chefs in the family. We were pleasantly surprised to find a dumbwaiter to get packages to the third floor. We really appreciated the high-top tables and chairs on the ocean facing deck- no obstructed view of the ocean. I miss the gourmet dinners we had watching the sun set over the sound. We all highly recommend this home."
