Thanks for your review! We do not allow grills on the wooden deck structures based on guidance from the Corolla Fire Department. We do provide beach chairs for our guests at the Happy Pelican. If you wish chairs and an umbrella to be placed on the beach each morning - there are several local companies that will provide that service for a fee, one which is conveniently located at the Cabana within Buck Island.

"We very much enjoyed our stay this week. We love Buck Island. House met all our needs for a party of 11 and we would likely book again. There were tons of books to read and the location was quiet for most part. A few items in the house should probably be replaced or have some maintenance. Some pots and pans needs some replacement. An extra refrigerator or ice maker would have been beneficial. The dining chairs seats are beginning to get loose. The ping pong table was great but would be even better if there were lights under that area for nighttime play. The pool needs a new liner soon but the pool served all our needs just fine. We had issues with grill but it was likely due to a faulty tank. While we exchanged the empty one with Twiddy the new one they provided did not work and they had no additional replacements- so we went without it for rest of week. All in All a great week at the Happy Pelican. The Owner called early on to check in and that was a nice touch."
