"The home was laid out nicely. Had everything we needed as far as size. The only thing lacking was hot pads, making cooking difficult, because we did not realize we would not have them."
"The views from this home are the best- location is great. Close to everything we wanted including shopping, restaurants and the wild horses! Love the layout of the top floor, very open and views are the expansive. Love sitting on the upper deck and watching the waves. Needs some TLC with regard to clean up of pool deck, carports and outer windows which were covered with dead bugs. If you are going with a large party there is only one refrigerator. It worked well but we only had 5."
"We were very pleased to stay at The Salty Dog. The location was perfect, the top floor specifically and the view were beautiful. It was a perfect setup for 3 families. We are disappointed it will no longer be dog-friendly but understand that call. There were so many midges when we arrived but we were warned about that ahead of time. If they were brushed away prior to our arrival, that would be the only change I would have made. We were very happy overall and would return in a heartbeat!"
"We recently stayed at the Salty Dog with our family. We had an amazing time! The beach was beautiful and the sunsets, amazing. There was plenty of room for our family of 13 and we loved the open floor plan and large dining room table. Kitchen was really equipped with what we needed and easy to work in. Would recommend this house for your vacation needs."

"Great family place! Beautiful view, zero distance to beach. Only reason I did not give 5 star the beds were uncomfortable, the seemed to be some over due items that needed to be repaired. They quickly were once I notified Twiddy. Outstanding turnaround time there. However had to go 11 mil away to get a refill on the empty propane tank I was left with. Otherwise I give it 2 thumbs up!!"
"Lovely home & we loved how the path to the beach was right next to our house. It made it so easy for the kids to come back for lunch or to use the bathroom. We were also thrilled that at that entrance on to the beach there was a lifeguard station. First time to Outer Banks & we will be back!"
