"Well kept ample home perfectly close to the beach with lovely sight and sounds of diverse birds in the dunes and view of the ocean. On vacation and immediately felt at home. Nicely equipped kitchen with many amenities for morning smoothies, sharp knives for cooking and now reseasoned cast iron for cooking fishing day catch. Nice to have both beach and pool options. Recommend."

Nice sized rooms. 2 master suites with private-shared deck (no kids allowed :) Good location at end of street, not a lot of traffic. Quick walk to shared beach access. Pickleball court short walk away. Nice sized pool with bench/steps at both ends. Very nice to have 5+ good beach chairs/ umbrellas/ boogie boards, pool noodles supplied. Thank you!!"

"This was absolutely the best stocked house we have ever rented. Everything we needed was available. The owners truly thought out what visitors would require. Also the grill was in good shape and had plenty of gas, very important fro stress free grilling. The house is close to the beach, a very short walk and had terrific views over the dune of the ocean from many rooms and the decks. And its location next to an undeveloped tract of ocean front gave a feeling of privacy. And they have kept up the maintenance, so we had no issues. The heated pool was a plus and a fun place to gather. Also a short walk to a small grassy area around the tennis court allowed our dog a relaxing space to do his business and was easy to clean up after. Outdoor showers are a bonus and were clean and cobweb free. And less than a half mile to the grocery store (Harris Teeter) and a short drive to shopping at Timbuck II and Corolla. The only very minor downside was parking. Four cars fit easily but sit on a long drive. If someone wants out, you may have to move cars. No big deal, as all the other benefits are worth moving a few cars occasionally. Nice big dining area and relaxing great room. Would definitely stay here again. A big thank you to the owners for creating a terrific beach house and sharing it with us."

"First time stay at Nani Mahani II. Was not sure what to expect as Ocean Sands is an older development and our experience with smaller, older homes has not been the best. However, opening the door after our 12 hour road-trip from Ohio, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and condition of this home. It is clearly apparent that the owners take pride in their home and strive to make their guest's stay as pleasant as possible. As 30+ year veterans of OBX vacation we were impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was in terms of plates, casserole dishes, pots/pans, etc. Never have we seen a home so thoughtfully prepared for guests. Beyond the physical aspects of the home, the location and beach access was perfect for our family with both outer decks offering unobstructed views of the ocean and dunes. We were even treated to a pair of deer on the dunes in the adjacent open area. We would definitely recommend Nani Mahani II to all as a quality vacation rental that will meet all of your needs. "Very lovely home overall. You just cannot beat the view and proximity to beach access. Owners are clearly investing in the property and keeping it well-maintained. Pool area was one of the nicest we’ve ever had at an OBX home. Really appreciated the umbrellas for shade and nice furniture. A few things that are by no means faults but just good to know if renting…bathroom on top level is not private to the king bedroom; plenty of beach chairs provided but they are the super low to the ground and armless kind which worked great for our young daughter but the adults and seniors had trouble with; grill is on ground level at the back of the home so not easy access to the kitchen, just be prepared with everything you need to save some trips up and down the stairs. This was a great home to enjoy our stay in Corolla this year! Thank you!"

"What a View!! The best part of this house is the view.. although oceanside from the two decks (Level 2 and 3) you can see the ocean clearly. (We saw dolphins almost every morning) Additionally, the house backs onto sand dunes & forest area, which we saw beautiful birds (Pelicans, small tropical birds, etc) and wild rabbits. While in the house we kept the screen doors open at all time hearing the birds chirping and waves crashing was amazing."
