"Location was wonderful! Short walk to thr beach. Each level of the house had a deck… top deck was great for sunrise or sunset. Each level had a hose to wash of sandy feet. Plenty of blankets and pillows. Top sunroom was cute too. We loved it! On the quiet cul de sac too, that was a bonus. The grass was green and lush. No complaints from us! Easy check in and check out! Thank you Twiddy for a job well done, and thank you to the homeowner for letting us borrow their lovely place!❤️"

"A very well equipped kitchen- the only one I have ever rented that had a rolling pin . A surprise bonus was some toddler equipment. I loved the ship's watch- a great place to sit with computer or book and watch the sea and sky. Another great feature that I have not encountered before is a shaded grassy area so dogs can be outside and sheltered from the sun for part of the day."

"This was a wonderful place to stay for two legged and four legged guests alike. The room at the very top was a cozy place to enjoy a great view and to put a puzzle together on a drizzly day. It had a well appointed kitchen and large dining area. The decks were pristine. We spent lots of time around and in the pool - what an oasis. We appreciated having so many beach chairs, the built in baby gates, a great corn hole game and a giant ice maker in the basement. The fenced in backyard is brilliant! Our dogs thank you! It was a short walk to the beach and we would definitely stay there again. Thank you to the Gray family for their generous, yummy and thoughtful gifts of a cookie platter and wine & cheese basket - good to the last drop."

"My family stayed in Life's Porpoise the week of May 1st. It's a very comfortable house, with lots of space to gather or even to find a quiet spot to read or to check work email. 3 levels outside and 4 levels inside give you lots of choices. It also means that you need to plan on climbing a lot of stairs over the course of the week. Stairs inside the house, outside the house, and up and over the dunes using the closeby walkway access. You cannot see the beach, but you can hear the ocean. The house has lots of toys that you might otherwise rent. It has a kayak. It has a nice propane grill. It has a variety of beach chairs. It has a ping pong table. It has cornhole. It has lots of gently used books. That's several hundred dollars you won't spend at the rental company. The pool catches a lot of sun, and it was actually over 80 degrees the afternoon of May 1st. The chairs and tables on the two decks and on the ground floor were in very good condition. The kitchen is actually too well equipped. All the cabinets were full of cups and plates and glasses and pots and pans....where to put the food? Oh, there is a wonderful Harris Teeter about a mile from the house, and a very nice Food Lion a bit farther north. No need to go south to Duck or even further. This was our third stay booked through Twiddy, whom we rely upon for insights and advice. I find the Twiddy website and app very easy to use, and I enjoy the convenience of getting the text message when the house is ready to occupy."

"The Ship's Watch room is spectacular. I could sit up there all day! The updated furniture and decor is also really nice. The pool and all-fenced yard was an added bonus."

"I highly recommend this home! In response to the four star rating, yes the pool is small, but so perfect for the little ones. The stairs to the beach are steep, but even our neurologically impaired German Shepard was able to manage after a day of practice. We are older but very fit so someone with a physical challenge might find the way down to the beach very difficult. The home is great if you have dogs, they were at home in the fenced in yard, though our chihuahua mix could army crawl under the front gate. We blocked it off with a boogie board to keep her from escaping. The kitchen is amazing and the home is comfy and cozy. We have been vacationing with Twiddy since the eighties and we cannot wait to return to this home again! Five stars!!"
