"This was our 5th stay at Sound of Silence. This home's location can't be beat! This is a very convenient location for walking along the Sound and for the Corolla Light amenities. I appreciate the multiple sleeping options offered, including Duo bunk rooms, twin room and master suites. Since our last stay, the homeowners have updated some bedroom comforters, kitchen appliances, added a larger kitchen table and outdoor pool furniture. This home has become a tradition and a "home away from home" for us."

"We loved the location of “sound of silence”. The house was large and fit 12 comfortably. You can easily walk to the park, stores and restaurants. Having our own pool was also wonderful. The nearby eagles nest was amazing!!!! Could use better/bigger frying pans."

"We love this home and rebook every year. It has enough space for our family, a great pool and it is close to the sound and the beach. We recommended some touchups and safety issues to Twiddy and they sent over a representative pretty quickly. Nothing critical, just things the homeowner and Twiddy would want to know about so they could be remedied. Rebooked for next year and counting down the days already ❤️"
"Sounds of Silence was the perfect vacation home (other than the awful smell from the bay!). The house was very accommodating for our party of 13 and the large pool gave us plenty of play area and floaties!! Kitchen was one of the best stocked I have stayed in. Recommend Sounds of Silence to all!"

So glad you enjoyed your stay! I understand that both of the eaglets are good. One fell from the nest, uninjured, and is now being cared for at a wildlife center until it can be released.

"We have rented the same home from Twiddy several years in a row and our whole family looks forward to our vacation every year. This year we had seniors, middle age, adult, college age, teens, child and a newborn all happy as clams! The air conditioner on the top floor went out midweek and Twiddy sent over techs with window units that evening to keep us cool. The central air was fixed the following day. So appreciated in light of the hot weather!!! Needless to say, we are already pre-reserved for 2023 !"
"Had a great family vacation. Very roomy home with a very large pool on the sound side. Nearby walking path to walk along the sound. Walkable to restaurants, stores and ice cream. Close to 4x4 Beach access."

"Nice home in a perfect location. It's a short two blocks to the beach and sits right at the edge of the sound. Sits on a street that is blocked for pedestrians at one end so there is no through traffic."

"We have stayed here for several years now. We think this house is great. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The place is always CLEAN and the pool is larger than many homes. A very comfortable stay. Twiddy does a great job with trash can take out and property upkeep. It is a quiet sound side place."

"We are repeat vacationers in this home and find that it creates the perfect environment for our family to relax. There are separate nooks for reading or napping and larger gathering spaces for pool time, OBX Seafood dinners and barbecues. The sunsets over the sound are amazing and the beach and community pool complex is a short walk or trolley ride away. We will be back!"

"Lovely home on the sound side of Corolla. Well kept. 1 minute walk to the sound. Less than 10 minute walk to the ocean. Comfortable, with multiple en suite bathrooms. Great pool area. Highly recommend."
