Active and retired members of the military may be eligible to receive a military discount. Proper identification is required. Please contact our office prior to completing the lease agreement and making payment for your reservation to see if you qualify to receive the discount. Discounts may only be applied to reservations of at least 7 nights prior to the initial payment being made and cannot be combined with any other offers.

Special Events are permitted at this vacation home. A special event fee may be added to your reservation if you plan to host an event. The special event fee cost can be found in the Home Details. Please contact our office for more information if you are planning to host a Special Event at this vacation home. More information can be found on our Weddings page.

This home has physical keys. Keys are picked up at the Twiddy office when the home is available for check-in.

Twiddy homes that advertise Welcome Program as an amenity provide guests with a Vacation Starter Kit for their arrival. Enjoy the convenience of starter supplies such as a roll of paper towels, a dish soap, and a trash bag, all in a Twiddy insulated cooler bag. Additionally, hand soap and a roll of toilet paper will be placed in every bathroom.

These homeowners want to take care of some of the little necessities so you may begin to relax and enjoy your vacation. Please note that this is not intended to be a full supply for your stay. Guests are responsible for providing their own paper products, trash bags, and soaps.

Oceanfront

No other property/lot between the home and the beach. Dunes may obstruct ocean views; may or may not have direct beach access.

2nd-Tier Oceanfront

Although considered oceanfront, 2nd-tier oceanfront lots are shaped like the ivory keys on a piano with the narrow end facing the ocean. Views to the side may be obscured by another home.

Semi-Oceanfront

One lot from the beach; may or may not have direct beach access, ocean views or a street between the home and the beach.

Oceanside

East of NC 12; distance to the beach varies.

Soundfront

Homes that directly front the sound; may or may not have access to the sound.

Soundside

West of NC 12; may or may not have direct access to the sound.

Lakeside

West of NC 12 and east of Crystal Lake in The Villages at Ocean Hill.

Lakefront

West of NC 12 and fronts Crystal Lake in The Villages at Ocean Hill.

Westside

West of NC 12; three or four lots from the beach.

Canalfront

A four-wheel drive vehicle is required to access the home. These homes directly front a canal that connects to the sound.

For $195 plus tax, you may be able to check-in early to your home.

Standard check-in time is 4:00 pm. Early check-in is 1:00 pm. A limited number of 1:00 pm check-ins are available and we cannot offer this service for certain homes, including those with seven or more bedrooms or homes occupied by owners the preceding week.

Lockbox entry means that guests will be able to check-in to the home remotely, without having to come to the office, but access to the home is with a physical key. Guests will receive a key code when the home is ready for check-in. This key code is used to open the lockbox at the home. Inside the lockbox is a key, which will be used for the duration of stay and must be returned upon checkout.

Twiddy Traditional Homes are a great choice for guests seeking a classic Outer Banks vacation experience. These single-family homes offer comfortable, reasonably priced accommodations, paired with Twiddy & Company’s signature service.

Traditional Homes include standard furnishings and equipment; however, bed and bath linens, kitchen towels, and bed-making services are not provided (unless otherwise noted). Guests may bring their own linens or conveniently rent them through Twiddy either as a full-home package or individual sets.
