"Perfect for a small family."
"Home was very clean when we arrived. I’ve stayed in many homes in OBX and not all cleaning services are equal. The showers and floors were super clean and the fridge was immaculate. We had an amazing time in the home. First thing I have to mention is horses. You get up in the morning and look out back or next door and there are 3 gorgeous horses grazing. One morning we counted 7 total just hanging out in the dunes. We kept our distance but I was so excited to see them. They are gorgeous. You also get beautiful sunrise and sunset views. We loved that you could just walk out back and be on the beach in a minute. The home was a perfect size for a family of 4 and we truly loved being on the 4x4 beach. It’s like a little adventure to ride on the beach and there is so much to do in town if you get fried on the beach. We made use of the hot tub and loved the outside shower and hoses to get the sand off before you go inside. This home even had a first aid kit. I would definitely recommend this home and feel like we had a truly relaxing week in paradise. Can’t wait to come back next year."
"Hot tub on the deck was great. The grill is in a convenient spot and worked out well. Nice house. Having the horses visit one morning under the house was a great experience."

"We stayed at Monarch by the Sea and it was a wonderful time. The house is laid out well and is very well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen!! We had wonderful visits by the local horses who decided one evening to rest up for about an hour in the shade under the house. The grandchildren were thrilled. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely return in the future if we get the chance!!"

"Cabinets were labeled. Futon and fold out couch were great to have also. We truly enjoyed everything except the hot dunes trying to walk back to the house. We were very glad for the gazebo; we used it to take a break after climbing back up!"

"This was our 4th time visiting Carova, 1st time at Monarch By The Sea. We loved the house, very welcoming and cozy. The hot tub was the best one we've ever been in. We were impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked. I absolutely loved how everything was labeled so it was easy to find when cooking or turning on the lights. This house is clearly loved by it's owners as it is well taken care of. Thanks for letting us stay!"

"Monarch by the Sea was awesome! It was perfect for 2 adults,2 teenagers and 2 dogs. Even though we didn't have any oceanviews we had horses every day in the yard and they often spend time underneath the house. The walk to the beach was very easy with the walkway. House had everything we needed and then some. We hope to be back next year!"
"Our vacation was wonderful! This home was definitely a great place to call home for a week. It was well stocked, super clean, and very cozy! We hated to leave but plan on returning next year! Perfect quaint location and we were able to see the horses in the yard and on the beach every day! Couldn’t recommend more!"

"I absolutely love all of the extras, literally everything you need is there plus games and toys and books and beach chairs. The horses were in the yard every day and most nights. The home was clean and cozy. This was our second stay in this home and I have no desire to try the others. This one is perfect for me."

"This home was great! Pictures do not do it justice for the space.. we had four adults and 3 teenagers and it was perfect! Lots of supplies were left for us to use and we replenished what we could. Horses everyday at the house and the walk to the beach was right there off the sidewalk. Love this house!! Clean and useable!! Would stay here again!!! A hidden gem!!"
"Loved the area. Even with other homes nearby, it felt secluded. Horses were everywhere and fun to watch. Monarch was clean and well-equipped. Everything was in good shape and worked well (AC, kitchen appliances, hot tub, main TV). Lots of extra supplies left over from previous renters. One complaint was that the TV was not connected to the internet so as to use our Netflix and other accounts."
