"We really enjoyed our stay with only a few cons. The location, views, and sound of the ocean can't be seen. You also have a great view of the lighthouse from the double bedroom on the second floors. I agree with the previous reviewer that the fridge needs to be replaced, and the garbage disposal. The biggest con for us was the spiders outside. The top deck and hot tub deck was covered in spiders and spider webs. As a result, we were unable to use either, which was a pretty big bummer. Not just a few spiders, tons of spiders. I don't know if it is a seasonal thing; we've stayed at several places in Corolla Light and never had any issues, but always stayed June and July. We did notice the shopping center was covered in spiders and spider webs too. Recommend they spray spidercide around the outside. We loved the views from the inside though, especially the large floor to ceiling windows in the family room! House was the perfect size for our family (6 adults and some kids)."
"This is the second time we have stayed in this home, and the best thing it has going for it is the ocean front location which is somewhat away from the most crowded part of the beach: There are great views from the decks and living room windows and the adjacent boardwalk makes for easy access to the beach. The main living room and the kitchen are spacious. However, the house is in need of regular maintenance and could use some upgrades. One or two of the ceiling fans only had one speed (HIGH), and several of the ceiling fan/light fixtures were missing the globe covering the light bulbs. The jets in the Jacuzzi didn't work while we were there. The garbage disposal worked intermittently. The place could definitely use a new grill. It shouldn't cost too much to get some room-darkening curtains for the windows facing east, so that those who want to sleep past sunrise can do so. The wine refrigerator was non-functional by the middle of our week. It would be nice if the kitchen refrigerator had an automatic ice maker. The front and back screen doors do not latch properly."
"The home is beautifully decorated. The couches in the living are super soft and comfy. The view of the ocean is amazing! The kitchen is well stocked, but microwave is a bit quirky- we could set the time the exact same for exact food and one time it leave it half cold and the next time over cook it! The master bath jetted tub did not work; I did not want to put in a service call/cause the owners to incur charges for a repair so I reached out to Twiddy and asked if we could confirm how to use it (hoping we were maybe missing something and it would work for us). Twiddy texted me that they would reach out to the owners and let me know, but no one ever followed back up with me. The big soaking tub was something I was looking forward to and was disappointed it did not work and did not get a follow up on. The house does have a nice hot tub, which helps offset that, I just prefer a warm soaking tub. The home is in a great location and renting bikes let us ride to places like the lighthouse, Whalehead, and Tim Buck II. Super close to Carova and we went there a few times and saw the wild horses every time- awesome treat! The nature trail that Corolla Light Resort has along the sound is easy walking distance and a nice change of pace from the beach. Aside from the communication glitch/no help with the jetted tub, the home is great and as long as it stays maintained- worthy of consideration by anyone wanting an oceanfront home in Corolla. "Beautiful Home, outstanding location. A few minor things wrong with the house, mostly cosmetic or small little things that a vacation rental should carry, like an iron. There was an ironing board, but no iron to be found. Most people are traveling from far away to the Outer Banks and an iron is essential after traveling and clothing is wrinkled from suitcase."
"Excellent home! It is in a great location. The beach walkway is right outside the back gate. Very quiet. Beautiful beaches. I loved the amenities of Corolla Light resort. Everything was close and accessible. Highly recommend."
