Greetings from the Outer Banks! As your Outer Banks vacation approaches, we hope you will find the pre-arrival information below helpful in planning for your stay. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Directions to our offices are posted on the Find Us section of our website. You will also find a directional map to your cottage from our offices on the Community Information page of our website. Click the link with "Maps" in the text under whichever area you are staying in to get to the directional map of your community.
Check-in time begins at 4:00 pm unless you have made prior arrangements for Early Check-In. A limited number of 1:00 pm check-ins are available and requests must be made and confirmed by phone and paid for in advance of arrival. We cannot offer this service for certain homes, including those with seven or more bedrooms or homes occupied by owners the preceding week. If another member of your group will be arriving first, they are welcome to pick up the keys. They will be asked to provide the front desk with the name of the leaseholder and the number of the property in which you are staying.
Check-out time is 10:00 am for all homes without exception. Departure instructions are in the Twiddy Guest Directory and on the back of the check-in packet guests receive at check-in. Please return keys to your check-in office by 10:00 am. Guests departing keyless entry homes do not need to come to our office for check-out but entry codes will expire at 10:00 am. Each office has an After-Hours Exchange box for early departures.
It is not necessary to call our office if you will be arriving after-hours. Your check-in packet with keys or a keyless entry code and directions to your vacation home will be left in the After-Hours Exchange box if your balance is paid in full and we have your signed lease. These boxes are located beside each office's main entrance door.
The number of parking spaces available is listed in the description of most homes. There is no municipal parking available or street parking allowed in most areas, and towing is enforced. There is very limited space available for guests to park two-wheel drive vehicles while vacationing in the 4x4 area. Please plan accordingly. Daily parking may be available in Corolla for a fee. Parking is not available for campers, RVs and mobile units.
Campers RVs and mobile units are not allowed in any community and may not be parked at the home for additional sleeping space.
The vacation home telephone number can be found by logging in to your Guest Account, and it will be included with your check-in packet. All homes have a long distance block unless otherwise advertised. Options for placing long distance calls include cell phones, calling cards, pre-paid phone cards, credit cards and collect calls. Any unauthorized long distance calls charged to the vacation home telephone will be billed to the leaseholder.

The following amenities are standard to all homes unless specifically noted in the home description:
Mail is not delivered to vacation homes. Letters, packages and faxes may be sent to our office for pick-up. Please have the sender include the leaseholder's name, your name and vacation home number so we may attempt to notify you of arrivals. Faxes may be sent or received during regular business hours for a fee of $1.00 per page. Our fax number is (800) 869-5854.
The following rental companies provide beach and home equipment. Contact them for reservations and delivery.
Bed and bath linens are provided for reservations of seven days or more, except in Twiddy Traditional Homes, unless otherwise noted in the property description (homes with a "T" at the end of the property number are Traditional Homes). Beds (except trundles, top bunks, Futons, rollaways and sleep sofas) are made the day of arrival. Each home provides one bath towel, one hand towel and one washcloth per sleeping capacity of advertised beds, one bath mat for each full bathroom, one hand towel per half bath, and two kitchen towels. Extra bath towel sets are available for an additional fee. Contact us for more information.
For Twiddy Traditional Homes, bed and bath linens are not provided as a standard amenity. Guests may rent bed and bath linens through Twiddy (a package for the whole home, or individual sets) or bring their own bed and bath linens from home.
For those vacationing longer than one week, mid-stay cleaning and linen services are available (once per week). These services are complimentary, but must be requested in advance. Please contact our office as soon as possible if you would like to make arrangements.
All homes are cleaned prior to guest arrival and upon guest departure. Please call our office if you have any housekeeping or maintenance concerns upon arrival. We will schedule service as soon as possible. Each week homes are inspected for supplies and maintenance needs; however, unintentional oversights can and do occur. Please contact us if you have any sort of maintenance concern during your stay.
Private pools are available from the weekend of April 25 through the weekend of October 12, 2014 (unless otherwise advertised). Pools are cleaned, vacuumed and serviced weekly on the day of guest arrival. A mid-week service, including chemical and mechanical checks, is provided but does not include cleaning or vacuuming. The leaseholder will be charged for additional cleanings necessary due to misuse. Some homes offer the option of having the pool heated. Availability dates and charges vary for heated private pools; see individual home descriptions for details. Requests for this optional amenity should be confirmed and paid for prior to arrival. The heated pool fee will not be prorated if this service is requested at check-in or during your stay.
Hot tubs are available for use year-round and are cleaned, vacuumed and serviced weekly on the day of guest arrival. A mid-week service, including chemical and mechanical checks, is provided, but does not include cleaning or vacuuming. The leaseholder will be charged for any additional cleanings necessary due to misuse. Homes not equipped with hot tubs do not allow the rental of portable hot tubs or soft spas due to possible electrical and/or structural problems.
