"The House is beautiful and in AMAZING proximity to the beach. CONS: - Upon arrival, the coffee machine was broken, as well as one of the dishwashers leaks. Both of the dishwashers are old and have seen better days - definitely need to be replaced. - Couldn't believe the "comforters" on the beds, I didn't see the note that said to bring your own blankets prior to our leaving, but they MEAN it. Don't come under prepared, you're basically sleeping with sheets, some of the blankets/coverlets don't even fit completely over the beds and are PAPER THIN. There are also ZERO throw blankets for the couches while you sit and watch tv/movies - BE PREPARED. - Also, there's no mention of it anywhere in the information and there's no sign on the door, but there's a second refrigerator on the 3rd floor in between the master bedroom and half bath. There's a door there that I opened when looking for blankets and there was the fridge, no sign or anything that said it was there. Had an icemaker and water dispenser. Didn't find it until our 3rd day there, would have been super helpful to know about it ahead of time! - The basement level also gets super warm, it would be nice if all of the rooms have ceiling fans, but this isn't a huge deal. - There also aren't a lot of pyrex/oven pans, for the size of the house and how many people you have to cook for, you'd think there would be at least 8-10 baking dishes. We had to cook things and then transfer them out of the dishes to use them again, it made the cooking dinner process A LOT longer. PROS: But alas, these are just small things that would make it more enjoyable/easier, but our overall stay was wonderful and we were really really happy there. It was nice to not have to schlep our beach stuff back and forth and we just left it in the Crow's Nest at the top of the walk. The views are STUNNING from the 3rd floor and even from the 2nd. Doesn't look like you're even in a house, feels like you're on a boat because the water fills all of the windows, its really really quite amazing. The sunrises are absolutely beautiful, as well. We had a large family and it accommodated us all really well, the young kids LOVED the theater room and watched movies every night, the pool table was enjoyed as well. It's a great stay, just needs a few updates for the cost of the rental."
"Our family has come to the OBX for the past 20 years and this summer staying at Seas and Quackers was in the top 3 homes we have stayed in. The walk to the beach is so short and from the top deck you have a beautiful view of the beach and the ocean. The house was in great shape and the bedrooms were large with plenty of space. Parking (which can always be an issue for us) was no problem at all...plenty of parking space. Ice makers in all fridges worked well which is another issue we run into. Overall a great week! Would definitely stay again!!"
"Seas and Quackers was the perfect choice for our multi-generational family vacation. We took advantage of all the house's amenities, including multiple family rooms, 3 full size refrigerators, pool table, and theatre room. The home is very spacious, furniture was in good condition, kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools and updates have been made such as new televisions. The location right on the water cannot be beat. Having the community beach entrance directly next to the house made the beach a bit crowded, but it was manageable and we plan to return!"
"Very nice home, amenities were great. Only negative was there were no outside stairs from the top deck to the pool level."
"Beautiful, spacious home with excellent amenities. Great location. Two upstairs refrigerators were very handy and provided endless supply of ice. Very nicely furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs to enjoy the perfect ocean view. We plan to return."
"Love this house will come again"
