The bright and cheerful great room boasts cathedral ceilings, clean lines and a fun retro vibe. Stainless steel appliances and polished granite countertops in the kitchen add chic elements to the contemporary design. Bringing in luggage and groceries is a breeze with the elevator. Cooks will love the gourmet kitchen with gas range, two ovens, oversized refrigerator/freezer, two dishwashers, custom cabinets, and walk-in pantry. The retro vibe continues with the decor of the six bedrooms, five of them masters. A sitting nook on the middle level provides a quiet place to sneak away and get lost in a good book. The lower level was designed with fun in mind, including a pool table, comfortable lounge seating and direct access to the covered patio. A new picket fence on the back side yard makes a great play area for kids!

"We’ve been coming to OBX for 25 years, usually staying oceanfront in Pine Island. Because we decided to go on this trip at the last minute, we booked semi-oceanfront in Duck, at Tern Back Time. The house was WONDERFUL! The walkway to the ocean was very close. The pool and hot tub were private and enjoyable. The great room allowed multiple views of the ocean. The beds were comfortable. Having an elevator always helps. Being close to Duck was an added bonus. Only suggestion is more wine glasses are need (there was one), and a Teflon frying pan would be nice. I will definitely try to come back to this house! Amy Z"
"This is a great house! We have been renting at Duck - various homes for 25+ years- and this is the best. All the features we wanted. Nice open contemporary design. Separate table for puzzles and a large griddle for those big family meals. Nice little pool and convenient to the beach. We are coming back next year!"

"We loved everything about this house!! From the location to the beach! The house and pool, were very nice. The pool wasn’t heated and the temp was refreshing and perfect! We have stayed in pine Island before (twice) and this year decided to stay in Duck! Totally perfect decision. We were about a mile and half to town! If anyone is thinking of this house, you won’t be sorry!!"
"Had a great time again this year, second year in a row in this home. The layout of the home and the location near the beach is excellent. Double dish washer, full size freezer and fridge and large pantry are great. The home was clean when we were allowed in even though it wasn't ready at check in time and they were running behind schedule. There are a few complaints that we didn't have last year though which makes this 4 stars instead of 5. The couch upstairs is worn out and not comfortable anymore and some of the mattresses feel stiffer than last year. There were no oven mitts in the home also which is more inconvenient than you might realize. Twiddy showed up right away after we arrived to fix a maintenance issue, but the pool did not get cleaned in the middle of the week like it was supposed to. All in all I would recommend this home to any large(ish) group (we had 6 adults, 6 kids)."
"House was great and very clean on arrival. Perfect size for our group of 6 adults and 6 kids. The kitchen is very well stocked, plenty of plates and utensils and high end cookware. Right across the street from the beach. We hope to stay here again in the future. Only complaint I would add is that the pool is not as big as it was listed at 15x30, probably closer to 12x24."
"We loved everything about this house. Open design, elevator for luggage/groceries. Very very close to the beach access. Great pool and hot tub. Outdoor shower and air conditioned toilet connected for easy access from the pool. Best house we ever stayed in!"
