Treat yourself and your family to a vacation to be remembered at “Salty Paws!” Located on the oceanfront in the Sea Tern community in North Duck, this home is centrally located and is a short drive from the shops, restaurants, and attractions of both Duck and Corolla. In addition to its convenient location, you and your guests can take advantage of a long list of amenities to keep you comfortable and entertained during your stay.
The moment you arrive and are greeted by the home’s sunny exterior, you’ll know your beach vacation has begun. Enter to find a private elevator to assist you and your guests with unpacking the car and carrying groceries to the top floor, allowing you to settle in quickly and start relaxing. The only decision you have to make is what to do first! Quickly make your way to the beach to feel the sand beneath your feet via the connecting walkway adjacent to the home. Take a dip in the private pool, or lounge in the sun on the pool deck. Settle in for a relaxing soak in the bubbling hot tub.
The top level is home to the great room, dining area, and kitchen arranged in an open floor plan. Stunning ocean views are within sight from each room. The bright, spacious great room provides plenty of room for everyone to gather and evokes a coastal ambiance. Preparing meals in the well-equipped kitchen is truly a treat! Two refrigerators provide all the space you need to stock up on groceries. Large countertops, two ovens, and two sinks let you cook for the large group with ease. Enjoy dinner together around the dining room table, then clean up in no time with the help of two dishwashers. After dinner, step out onto the decks to take advantage of expansive oceanfront views, and feel the sea breezes. A master bedroom with a walk-in rain shower and deck access is also located on the top level. You’ll find five additional masters on the mid-level along with a den and laundry.
Cool off and relax after a long day at the beach with a flick in the theater room or gather for a game of pool in the rec room, which also features a wet bar to keep drinks and snacks within reach. A sliding door leads you from the rec room to the pool area. A convenient second laundry area is located on the ground floor. The first floor is also home to the seventh master, an additional bedroom with a semi-private bath and a kids suite, and a full bathroom.

"We loved the location - convenient to everything. The spacious pool area was the best we have ever had. The astroturf was fabulous! The kitchen was so large making it easy for our group to move around. The dining table was the best because it was large enough for our entire party to eat together. You could tell that the owners were redoing almost everything in the house."

Thank you for your review. To answer your question, Yes, we will continue to upgrade each bathroom. Every year we plan to make improvements. Next off season we plan on remodeling the game room.

"The house was perfect for our extended family, with 9 bedrooms sleeping 20 people, 8 full and two half baths, a dining table that seats 20, a very well-equipped kitchen with 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, and 2 ovens, plus ample storage for clothes and food, Books to read, games to play, a couple of bikes to ride, a much-used outdoor grill, and a wonderful pool for the younger folks to swim in during the day and the older folks to enjoy in the evenings. The beach is just over the dune behind the pool!! This was our third year at Salty Paws, and we look forward to our fourth in 2023!"

"Salty Paws was just as it was described and only a few steps to the beach. We had plenty of room in the house and loved having the pool area to come back to when the beach was to hot. Must mention that the beach side of the dune is steep sand, no steps and no railing. So my Mom, who has knee problems, was not able to make it on the beach with the rest of us. Kitchen was well equipped other then spices. Plenty of cooking options with pots n pans, electric skillet and toaster oven. Bonus having 2 dip coffee pots and 1 Keurig with so many people in the house and everyone wanting something different. We all loved this house and the morning sunrises were beautiful! I would highly recommend this house for a large crowd."

"It was full of things to do for the whole family. The week started out rainy and the whole family spent time watching movies, playing pool, gathering! When the rain passed, the pool area was amazing too. Lots of room, very comfortable, and an all-around great place. Only down side is the beach entrance, which is public access and difficult to climb. But we would highly recommend this house to families with kids of all ages!"
