"The location of this house is perfect! It's a 5 minute stroll to the beach, and you can hear the ocean from here, so peaceful. You don't need to drive anywhere, because you can walk everywhere to get anything: restaurants, food market, coffee, wine, fruit stand. Loved it! I enjoyed my morning runs through the beautiful neighborhoods."

"Nice central layout for the kitchen and the TV area. High quality beach chairs; I brought my own but didn't need to; we only used drip coffee maker but nice touch to also have K-cup style as well."
"We have three families with a group of teenagers. The location of the house is so convenient for us. Everything we need is in a walkable distance. Five minutes walk to beach, 10 minutes to all foods places, and the water activities spot is right across the street, and the rentals are also on the same street. We found the house is really a hidden gem in this community. The inside layouts are bigger than what shows in the pictures. We could even see the ocean from the kitchen! The house is clean and cozy, plenty of dinnerware and cookware. Another plus is there is a gas grill (it is listed as a charcoal grill in the website), we used it a couple times. Everyone had a blast during the stay except for one thing. There is a house renovation next to our next door, we got woken up by the construction noise earlier in the morning."

"The home is nicely situated with proximity to the beach and the center of town. The parking passes are a very nice perk. The home is well maintained but beware of the briars in the unkempt yard. The home has plenty of space, but the layout requires too much up and down steep stairs. Overall it is a great house and pets permitted is a great value."
"We absolutely loved this home—it was totally perfect for us, our kids, and the crew of friends we brought to the OBX. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed for a great beach week. The kitchen had more than enough for us to cook, eat in, and do carryout for the week, and the books, beach gear, and games were great. We hope to return again next year and for years to come. Perfect location for us—easy walk to beach or town. THANK YOUUUUU!!"

"Comfortable, rustic beach home. Near everything in Duck. Didn’t like the midges, but what are you going to do."
"We really enjoyed our stay at Jambalaya! Most amenities were there as promised, though we had a couple of minor issues. We fired up the grill on the first night, only to discover an empty propane tank. The folks at Twiddy said we could come get one or they would deliver one. We chose the delivery route with the knowledge that it might not come right away. Unfortunately, it never did show up. I wouldn’t say this ruined our vacation, but we were disappointed that we had to cook inside when we had planned to grill quite a bit. We also never could get the jets on the jacuzzi tub to work. That could be user error, but there should have been directions left if it was more complicated than the typical tub. Otherwise, the location was great, the coffee pot was clean, and the views were splendid!"
