"Lovely, well appointed and spacious house. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, silverware, cooking and baking supplies and serving utensils. Nice, large dining table with extra chairs. Appreciated the welcome basket (and some basic supplies like baggies, dish drain board, toilet paper and dish soap. and ample towel bars and hooks in the bathrooms (often missing in other houses we've rented), as well as bedside reading lamps in the bedrooms (which many houses lack). Note to Twiddy - the house could use a thorough cleaning as we found considerable dust, sand and debris under the living room couches and beds. Also, the living room rug and rug under the pool table could use a deep cleaning or be replaced."

"I like the distance it was to the beach and the views of the sunrises from the upper level porch. The screened in porches were also really nice to have for morning coffee. The space was plenty big enough for the amount of people we brought. The outside entraining area was also nice to have as that is where we spend all of time."

"Takitezie was the perfect home for our family Thanksgiving week. The home is lovely, great new beds/mattresses and tasteful, uncluttered decor. The common areas were fun for playing games, watching TV or talking. Everyone had a BR/Bath so privacy/quiet easy to find. We enjoyed the hot tub, corn hole games and yard. Beach and Duck are both an easy walk. The horizon view of the ocean and sunsrise were a treat. You can hear the ocean!"
"The House was perfect. Everything was great. Beds and rooms were very comfortable. Showers and bathrooms were nice. Main living area was very comfortable with large flat screen. Wifi worked well. No complaints at all."

Hi Kirk- thanks for your kind feedback. We have a 5 year plan to make this house not just good but AMAZING!!. Our landscaper is already looking into some lighting ideas, but there are some rules we have to follow. We hop to see you next year the Jacobs

Hello. I hope you enjoyed our $200K in renovations. We appreciate your feedback. The game room downstairs was reconfigured as most guests wanted more than a pool table. We added Foosball, and arcade games, unfortunately, the couch had to be eliminated given space constraints but we did add 8 stools. We truly hope to have you back Brian and Amanda

"Big house, awesome layout. We never even went to the beach because it was so nice to relax at the house. Pool and hot tub were a big hit as was the outdoor bar area. Two showers and an outdoor bathroom…..genius! This house has everything. Just bring your bathing suit and your toothbrush!"

"We stayed in Takitezie for a week in August. The house was amazing! Very spacious and nicely furnished. We had 4 families (8 adults and 6 kids). The kitchen was well-equipped. There was a Keurig, as well as a drip coffee pot. There was also a crockpot, and tons of other kitchen essentials. The house had 7 rooms and we ended up not even using one of the rooms! The older kids loved the bunk room. We spent a lot of time in the pool. It was pretty hot the week we were there, and the pool could have been cooler. The thermometer in the pool said 90 degrees, which was barely refreshing. We still had a lot of fun in the pool though! There was an outdoor bathroom that we used a lot when in the pool, so we wouldn't need to drip water in the house (especially for the kids). There was also a shed under the deck with lots of beach equipment- chairs, umbrellas, toys, wagons, boogie boards, tubes, corn hole, pool volleyball net, bikes and more! The walk to the beach was about 10 minutes. We ended up packing the car and parking in the spots down near the beach. Being so hot, it was a lot to lug all of our beach stuff, along with the kids. It was also a little hilly to walk with all the stuff in the heat. The drive was only about 1-2 minutes, so it was no big deal. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again!"
"Kitchen was fully stocked- nice home. Could use a deep clean and paper towels were used for curtain in master bedroom Bath. Fully stocked shed with beach chairs, toys which was a bonus. No propane in either tank. Great location to walk to beach or downtown."
