Located on a quiet street north of Duck Village, the beach is conveniently located just a short walk away. Coastal comfort and fun amenities combine to facilitate a special vacation experience.
The home’s main gathering place can be found on the third floor, in the open and airy great room. Relax in the comfortable living area and watch TV or simply catch up with loved ones. The kitchen is stocked with all that you need to prepare meals throughout your stay, just add groceries. Barstool seating is available at the kitchen counter as well as at a separate breakfast bar, perfect for additional seating for meals. The nearby dining area is conveniently set up for enjoying family meals together. Or choose to dine outside on the deck, where you have a great view of the sparkling ocean at the end of the street. In the morning, make your coffee and head up to the roof-level observation deck to watch a beautiful OBX sunrise without leaving the house. Back inside, up a small flight of stairs, the ship’s watch serves as an additional place to relax, perhaps with a good book. There is one master bedroom on the third floor, which includes a private bathroom.
The remainder of the bedrooms can be found on the second floor of the home. There are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms on the second floor, as well as laundry facilities. Just outside, the relaxing hot tub awaits on the covered deck. The deck is also accessible from two of the bedrooms on the middle floor of the home. On the ground floor of the home, kids will love playing ping pong in the garage, which also doubles as a storage place for your beach gear.
Outside, fun in the sun is on the agenda. Make a splash in the heated private pool, or simply choose to lounge around poolside. An outdoor dinette set is available in the spacious pool area, perfect for enjoying lunch by the pool. For the competitive members of your group, there is a basketball goal. After a long day at the beach, a full bathroom and multiple outdoor showers are conveniently located outside to clean up before going back into the house. For shopping, dining, and entertainment options, Duck Village is conveniently located a few minutes’ drive away, or choose to bike into town using the multi-use path that runs alongside Route 12. Make treasured vacation memories at “Carolina Luna Sea” during your next stay on the Outer Banks!

"We loved everything about the house!"
"We absolutely love this house. The owners thought of everything. The washer and dryer on every level, extra fridge in the basement. New deck is beautiful. Loved watching the sunset from the rooftop deck. Enjoyed our morning coffee up there at the table while watching the sunrise."
"It was decorated nicely and was convenient to the beach. Also had everything we needed"
"We loved the private pool and that it was in a secured gate. We loved your addition of all the new decking and levels and a variety of seating areas and availability. The living room couch was very comfortable and the seating was ample for the size crowd that we had. Each of the bedrooms was a nice size with a variety of sleeping arrangements that worked well with our group. The kitchen was stocked nicely and you had very nice things to use. Having small children as a part of our group, the two sets of washer and dryers was a plus. A very beautiful home and we will probably for sure rent there again."
"Loved the house. Had everything you could possibly need. Was very clean and new deck and beautiful views."
"We enjoyed this home for the week and the pool made it extra special to enjoy the evenings after a day at the beach. We did encounter lots of spider and spider webs all over the outside of the home making it an inconvenience to walk or utilize the deck spaces, and walk through the doors. We would recommend replacing the master bedroom mattress as it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on; we actually slept in another room or used the great room couch."
"This home was great for our family Vac. To OBX. Pool was clean. House was Cleanish. House well supplied, with many extras. Thank You."
"Very nice home very well maintained with lots of amenities can’t wait to go back"
"Great location and plenty of space. Pool was great after a few hours on the beach or for an evening swim. What I didn’t love was the carpet in the bedrooms and the somewhat outdated TVs, but we were usually out, outside or in the kitchen/dining area. The worst part was the grill. It’s supposed to be cleaned by each group before leaving, but it was overflowing with grease and food. I had to do an extensive cleaning, then burn off all of the grease before it was usable. Then I grilled on aluminum foil. It doesn’t seem unreasonable that the grill be replaced every two years or so (basic Char Broil is about $150 or cheaper for charcoal). Otherwise, very enjoyable stay."
"Great home with tons of space and everything you need to have a great stay. We really enjoyed this home and look forward to returning."
"Spacious, well-cared for cozy home. Six adults and 4 children under 8 stayed here and had a ball. Very pleased with the home and would recommend to others."
"This was our 8th visit to Carolina Luna Sea and we truly enjoyed our visit. However, this was the first time we were aware of cockroaches in the house, and although we were concerned about bringing any of these unwanted guests home, we understand the affect Covid-19 has had on some maintenance issues, such as pest control, the broken door handle and bottom door rack on the refrigerator, and the big old micro on the counter. Hopefully, we will all have a better 2021, and we look forward to our next visit."
We are thrilled you enjoyed another wonderful week at Carolina Luna Sea. We apologize about the refrigerator door and substitute microwave that was temporarily placed on the counter. We addressed both issues as soon as we were alerted but unfortunately getting parts & replacement appliances took longer than normal this summer. We also have an ongoing pest control program but this year was particularly difficult to manage those pests. If you ever have a concern, feel free to contact Twiddy.
"The kitchen was well stocked as far as utensils and cookware! Lots of space to spread out, beds comfortable, lots of games/books! The pool and hot tub both very nice and well maintained! Short walk to the beach"
