"Sunstruck worked perfectly for our family trip!! All bedrooms were as described. The Den DOES have a pull out sofa that we were unaware of, but nice to have extra spots to sleep or relax. The pool size was amazing, nice short walk to the beach via private access and not near a public access so we had plenty of beach space. Ample parking with a little maneuvering at times. Great location to many attractions."
"We loved the great room on the top floor-plenty of room for the 13 of us to have dinners together. The view from the deck is lovely-morning coffee on the deck with a view of the ocean-marvelous! Having 2 dishwashers was handy. The beds are comfortable."
"The home was right on the water, visible from the third floor of the home, with dunes separating the ocean from the house. Pool, hot tub, good sized bedrooms, wonderful kitchen/dining room/family room on the third floor had beautiful ocean views with sliding glass doors on the ocean side to open and hear the ocean and sea breezes. The neighborhood was convenient for the dune/wild horses area, the light house, and of course only 20-5 minutes to Duck. Nearby shopping for groceries and other essentials was 5 minutes away."

"Loved the large living area and the view from the upper deck! Especially loved the seating over the dune which I called the crows nest. My family was thrilled with the fact that they were so close to the ocean and could come back to the house easily from the beach if they needed something. The house was well stocked with pots,pans,dishes,etc. So happy that we were able to book the house again for 2025!"

"We've been regulars at Sunstruck for years. It suits our group of friends + fam really well. The ocean front aspect is really important to us, and those of us in the "coffee club" rarely miss a spectacular OBX sunrise. This year, we mixed things up a bit and did a destination Super Bowl and Mardi Gras party with our friends. We had a blast and it sure won't be our last time OBXing in winter."

"It has a great amount of space for our family in the upper level with great bedroom options on the second floor. The lower level was great for a family that had kids because it was private and away from the rest of the areas. It's a little hard to play pool once the kids go to bed that way but we were outside most of the time anyways! We loved that our whole group could sit at the kitchen table."
"The house was great! We were all so comfortable there. The upstairs was huge! So much space! The mattress we had was so comfortable too. The outside of the house could use some attention, the decking was in rough shape and the grass could have been cut, but overall, we all had a great time in the house."

"We had a great time for 2 weeks at Sunstruck. This view and beach access are just spectacular. And although the house does need bathroom and kitchen maintenance, the main living area has a comfortable layout. we were happy to see the mattresses on the King bedrooms had been replaced. The beds were very comfortable. In addition, a new fridge was a welcome improvement. Overall, we loved being here and enjoyed our 2 weeks immensely."

"We've rented Sunstruck for several years in a row now and it's just right for our crew. Not too big, not too small. Ocean front location is key for us. Those morning coffees while watching the sunrise on the deck are magnificent. Already booked for next year."
"While the curb appeal compared to other homes in this upscale neighborhood could use help, the price is right. You still get the exact same million dollar view! Best part of location was also half way in between two public beach access points. Gets VERY crowded to the left and right of you, but not in front of this house. Just set up your spot (or order beach cabana service like we did!) by 10am. The pool area gets sandy right near the gate to go to beach. So be sure to use spray to wash off! The inside was perfect for our family. Only complaint…need more glassware and a trash can for every bedroom. Yes, it would be nice to have a more updated house. But then it would cost more to rent and some of the people in our group would not have been able to afford ocean front. So again, perfect for us!"
"The great room space was well organized and the views were wonderful. The bedrooms, decking, and supplies such as glassware, cookware, and hangers were limited or absent. House has great potential but could use some TLC."
"We enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and clean. But the barbecue could use some upgrading. The outside of the house could use some cleaning up. Dead tree in front yard and doesn't compare to neighbors. Wood thrown around dunes."

"This was our third time staying in Sunstruck. It suits our group very well and we're happy with it overall. We LOVE being right on the ocean with our own private access to the beach. The pool is great on sunny days to enjoy a bit of the ocean breezes. Oh, and the top floor deck is perfect for sharing a late day prosecco with family and friends. While there are always a few things that could be improved, they tend to be minor and we still enjoy coming back here year after year."
"Spacious house, clean, wonderful pool, great location; but for nearly $2000 per night, you would expect mattress pads on the beds, doors and latches that worked, furniture with out bleach spots. I realize we are at the beach, but this house needs some maintenance."
