"The home was clean and well maintained with only a few minor adjustments needed. It had all the kitchen needs and a comfortable layout. We loved the pool and the hot tub and the easy access to shopping and restaurants"
"We appreciated our stay, although we wished the weather had been more favorable, and we understand that this is beyond your control. There are several aspects that I would like to bring to your attention. We are thankful for the handicap room, but there are a few suggestions that would enhance its accessibility. Firstly, a handheld showerhead and a step-in shower with a pull-down seat would be beneficial. Additionally, the doorway leading into the bathroom poses a challenge. To improve accessibility, the door should swing outward, allowing individuals in wheelchairs to enter the bathroom without having to maneuver around. Lastly, replacing the carpet with a flooring material similar to that in the bathroom would facilitate easier transfers and pivoting for individuals with disabilities. We have identified some cleaning opportunities to enhance the home's overall experience. A shower in one of the second-floor bedrooms has black mold. The main priority is deep cleaning the floors throughout the house, which will greatly improve the space, especially for barefoot guests, including children. We appreciate the home's warmth and hospitality, having stayed here three times. We hope this feedback contributes to creating an exceptional experience for future guests"
"This was our 4th year in the house. It's always clean, has ample rooms and bathrooms and the pool area is private!"

"Well stocked kitchen plus appliances. Bedding great, nice pool, hot tub and swings on mid level deck. Pool table and foosbal table nice to have. Elevator a must for us old folks and appreciate having it. Booked for two weeks in 2026!!"
"The location was great close to shops and the most important the beach. The house was equipped with everything needed for a wonderful vacation. The pool area was amazing, just wish the hot tub was not away from the pool."

"We have rented this home for more than five years now. It has everything that anyone could need. The location is great! The amenities are wonderful and it is well stocked and updated regularly."
"We enjoyed the location of Getaway Place as it was just a short walk to the beach access and was in walking distance to our favorite restaurants and shops. The home was very well kept and the rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils making food preparation easy/ I loved one set of knives so much that I ordered a set for myself! The pool and hot tub were in fine working condition and helped us to relax. It was hard to fund anything wrong with the home. We've already scheduled another visit for the fall of 2025."

Thank you for your comments! I am sorry about the high bed and we are going to address that issue during the off season by making it much lower for future guests. I have been researching different types of frames and will get on installed by next season. Thanks for staying at our home, and hope you will return in the future to see the improved bed and other things we plan on taking care of during the off-seanson.

"The house was awesome! It had everything we were looking for! Everything was very clean. Short walk to the beach, close to the FoodLion and other stores. One recommendation I would make is to cover the hot tub. We had alot of rain and the water dripped down from the upper decks. Look forward to staying again!"

"I love everything and I had problems with the house door code (which probably was my fault) but when I call customer service they was SUPER nice and helpful and told me to call back if I have any problems anytime!!!!!! And that’s why I rent from Twiddy every year!"

"Home was great for my family. We had a blast swimming in the heated pool multiple times a day and the beach was less than a five minute walk. Local shops were also a short walk away."
"This house was clean and neat. The kitchen was stocked perfectly with everything we needed including a stock pot for boiling shrimp, a crockpot and a griddle for pancakes. We had 2 babies with us and they had a baby gate, high chair and a playpen. We discovered a leak in one bathroom and someone came right away to check it out and fix it. This house was perfect for our 3 families to share over spring break and I would 100% stay there again! The teens and tweens played foosball, pool, board games and watched TV downstairs and the adults played cards and watched TV upstairs. We enjoyed visiting the Corolla lighthouse and village one day and the Wright Brothers memorial another day with shopping and beach time in between!"
