"Ocean Vista is an older home with what we believe is a fantastic location- very close to the 4x4 beach. The kitchen is well-equipped, the "rec" room on the bottom level is fantastic for teens with a min kitchen, ping pong table and tv. We liked that the bedrooms all have their own bathroom. There are areas that are a bit care-worn and the beach chairs have seen better days- but salt water is tough on outdoor equipment. The pool is great- large enough for several swimmers. All in all we were pleased with Ocean Vista."
"Our family has been coming to OBX for nearly 20 years. This has been the best house that we have rented (and we have rented many in OBX, primarily in the Villages at Ocean Hill). The house is well furnished; the kitchen is stocked extremely well - the two dishwashers were clutch! Do not be fooled by the location of this home...it is a 5 minute walk to the beach, literally, and the views are magnificent. Each day we were in awe of the dune/ocean view as well as the sunsets from the back deck. I could go on, but want to keep this gem for ourselves - we are already reserved for 2022!"
"Overall the house was great. Good location and spotless upon arrival. Our only complaints were the lounge chairs outback were broken in the seats, the downstairs fridge smelled something awful, and we had nightly visits from raccoons that got in and out of the trash cans which both made a mess and woke us up. We would book this house again."

"We had another great week at Ocean Vista. We love the large family space upstairs and the tall Adirondack chairs that let you see over the top porch deck railing to see the ocean. The pool water was plenty warm this year."
"We stayed at this house in 2018 and again in 2020. The location is great - close beach access as well as being right at the 4x4 beach access point. The pool is a great size and the hot tub is great as well. Overall, the house is good for a family vacation with generously sized bedrooms, updated kitchen and family room and I would be ok to rent it again. For the owners, I'd say the house could use some updates and it feels as if the cheap route has been chosen at times. The wi-fi is incredibly slow, the front door has to be locked or else the wind will blow it open due the door frame deteriorating/rotting, the bathrooms leave something to be desired with minimal water pressure from the shower heads, some of the beds could use a refresh, etc. All that taken into consideration, the house is priced reasonably and puts you in a location that enables you to have a great time with your family and/or friends."
