This home is lovingly maintained and a phone call from Dennis (the owner) checking to make sure we were enjoying our week was very nice. "The great room on the top floor was where we gathered to talk and do jigsaw puzzles. We had a movie in the theater room most evenings after dinner. We loved the pool area. Since we have kids with us we were glad it was fenced with a child proof gate. We have stayed in this home five times over the years we have been coming to OBX."

"Absolutely beautiful house! We unfortunately did not have great weather and the high winds and rough seas forced us to stay inside most of our trip. The house really saved our vacation. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out or hang together! You can tell the owners take pride in their property and even called to check in. Was a wonderful family vacation with our first baby this year too, would definitely recommend and stay again."

The kitchen has all the amenities needed for preparing meals and the addition of the refrigerator on the lower level makes it so convenient for storing cold drinks and food for our group of 17. The views from the deck are absolutely beautiful!! Sunrises in the morning and sunset in the evening and no need to leave to see either. We have booked for the third year in a row and can’t wait for 2023!"

"The view from the deck on the top level was amazing. We all gathered each night to watch the sun set. We loved the great room on the top level. It was large enough for us to sit and chat. The children loved watching movies in the theatre room. We all enjoyed the pool. The addition of the second refrigerator on the pool level was greatly appreciated, since I was cooking for twelve including the children."

"We love to cook and this house has a well-equipped kitchen. Our grandkids love the bunk bedrooms and of course the pool. Each year we visit, the owner has upgraded some part of the house. It's the perfect house for our family to get together for a week at the beach."

"We just spent a week at the Beez Nest! This is our third rental from Twiddy and was one of my favorites. I've loved every house but the layout of this house was awesome! The main living area with amazing kitchen and comfortable living room with fireplace was decorated beautifully. We didn't have the best weather from Thursday on with crazy winds and occasional rain but being cooped up in such a beautiful home with beautiful ocean and sounds views made it ok! Twiddy does a great job of preparing the house as well! You're ready to relax and have a drink the minute you walk in! Best vacation spot ever!"

"2021 was the eighth year that we have rented The Beez Nest. We are five couples who have been close friends for over 50 years. Our reunions at OBX have been very special for all of us and something we cherish. The lovely Beez Nest provides the perfect place for us to have our annual reunions. To continue that, we have booked again for 2022. The one thing I would recommend is that they not have so many large trash receptacles. Nearly a dozen large trash & recycle receptacles seems a bit much. Many empty ones were left along the side of the driveway by those who put them out the day we arrived. Overall, we would highly recommend The Beez Nest for a memorable gathering of family and friends."

"This was the second year to stay in this home and it was great. The owner made some improvements since last year, new furniture and replaced carpet on second floor with laminate. The whole family loves this home. Twiddy notified us that a first floor shower was not usable before our arrival and it still was. It usable when we left, however we did not need that room so it was fine. Also, the home was not ready on time for the second year in a row but they let us in while they continued to clean which was fine with us. We would rather be late and have it done right. Overall we had a great week in this house."

"We enjoyed the house very much - it was especially lovely to hear from owner Dennis on the house phone early in the week! The upstairs gathering area is really nice for a group of friends. Bedrooms all comfortable and well furnished. The pool area is a bit tight around the deck, but surely every inch of the lot has been used - so nothing to do about that!! We also felt the pool heating fee was quite high, perhaps a sign of the times? Location is my favorite area - Pine Island provides more privacy and the absolutely gorgeous sound views in the evening due to the reserve across the street. As always, Twiddy was quickly and efficiently prompt about every response that was necessary. THANKS!! PS I meant to call Twiddy maintenance on departure. Forgot - to let them know two things: 1) A serviceman returned for a left-behind tool. He did not find it, but we did - I called Twiddy and they said to leave it outside the carport door - but it was still there when we checked out. Also, early in the week we were sliding the dining chairs back under the table and one leg just simply fell off. It would seem the chair had literally been propped up on this leg. Just wanted to let you know. See you next year!!"

"We love Beez Nest! Such a wonderful, warmly decorated, well equipped family home. We can't wait to come back."

"Beez Nest is so lovely. What a perfect way to celebrate our 25th Annual Sister's Chick's Getaway (there are 4 of us plus Mom). We especially liked the panoramic view of the sound and ocean in the great room as well as the purposefully symbiotic interior decor (so pleasing with the gorgeous natural environment outside). Such a relaxing and joyful experience. A few suggestions for the owners: The bedrooms (sans mb) could use more dresser/drawers and comfy chairs. Also, although we didn't use the pool,.... it was dirty. The linens were absolutely NOT that good and detracted from the otherwise high quality amenities and attention to detail that the owner's obviously put into the home. And finally, adding dimmer switches to the overhead lights in the kitchen would simply be, "icing on the cake". Thank you! We can't wait til' April when we will be at Beez Nest again (and November 21')."

"We had a wonderful time with friends and family in this beautiful home. Having 15 people there, the humongous dining table was much appreciated and used. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for multiple cooking adventures, with the exception of a pancake griddle (so we didn't have pancakes). We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, and were blessed with unseasonably warm temperatures for October so even enjoyed beach time. The theatre room is set up with comfy couches and chairs rather than individual recliners, so we were able to utilize it very comfortably. Our group would have returned to this home next year except that it was already booked for our preferred week. The only change I would suggest is some type of remedy for the shower water that continually overflowed the handicap-access shower in one of the King master bedrooms, making that floor very very slippery. We used towels but it would be nice to avoid having to do that. Thank you to the owners for providing such a nice home for our vacation."
