Bonjour et bienvenue dans “La Bonne Vie!” Welcome to the good life on the Outer Banks! With the community beach walkway just steps away, you’ll have your toes in the sand in no time. Beautiful details greet you upon arriving at the home.
Unloading the cars is a breeze with an elevator that goes to all three floors. The great room on the top level is cozy, with exposed wood beams, a large stone gas fireplace and comfortable seating. There are ocean views from the great room. The kitchen and adjacent dining area were designed to accommodate a crowd. The spacious kitchen, which includes an island with seating, is a dream when preparing meals. The top level also includes a master bedroom, with its own private bathroom, and a half bathroom.
There are five master bedrooms on the middle level, each with a private bathroom. The lower level of the home was thoughtfully designed for fun. There is a pool table and a wet bar in the rec room. The media room is perfect for hosting family movie night, and a refrigerator is located nearby in case anyone is in need of a beverage. One bedroom and a full size bathroom can also be found on the lower level. Lounge around outside the home while enjoying the outdoor sitting area with gas fireplace or the tiki bar.
Ocean Lake has a large community pool and community tennis courts, which are both a short walk away from “The Good Life.” Once you’ve experienced “La Bonne Vie” on the OBX, you’ll never want to leave!

It is exceptional- many features and amenities that appeal to everyone, a very large and very well stocked kitchen, and it is exceptionally clean every time. You can tell the amount of love the owner pours back into the property because it is always updated and well taken care of. Just steps from the beach. Twiddy is very responsive if there are any issues. It is our favorite week of the year and we can't wait to be back in 2024!"

Dori, Did you reach out to Twiddy. I believe they have reduced the rates a bit since they were set last year. If you would like to come back tell them we would be willing to honor last year’s rate with only a $100 increase. I believe that would put the rent at $1795. We are so glad you love our one as much as we do!!

"This was our 5th straight year staying in one of the Sasser Vacation homes, and we’re already booked for next year! Our favorite things about these particular homes are the location- so close to beach access- and the floor plan. We come with our 5 kids, their significant others, and one set of parents, so having the primary bedroom on the top level, and the rest of the bedrooms on another is perfect! The elevator is essential for my father-in-law. We also love the Sasser’s decor- from the furniture, artwork, and knick-knacks- it all makes it feel so much like a home away from home. And a quick note of appreciation for the Sasser’s gift baskets the last several years! We’ve started to look forward to these top notch items from a local wine shop. "LOVED EVERYTHING! The home was absolutely awesome! Best home we've ever stayed in at OBX! SO close to the ocean, the community pool and the local shops. Not only that but the house was fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy and not worry about anything kitchen, beach and kid wise (beach chairs/unbrellas, high chair, pack-n-plays, air fryer) *major plus* & The owners take great care of their home and their guests with the complimentary cookies & bagels.
