"Fantastic house! Panoramic views of the ocean were amazing. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of room for all. Lots of places to gather as a big group or if you're looking for some alone time, there are quiet retreats like the screened porch. Pool and hot tub were a great way to end your days after being on the beach in the sun. Twiddy was very responsive and so easy to work with. Made a call about a minor problem and they were out the same day to resolve it."

"Amazing views of the ocean. Convenient drive to nearby grocery stores, shops, and dinning out, when traveling out and about. The home has plenty of room for a large family but we only had 9 adults and we enjoyed the space and peacefulness of the home. Dog friendly and hot tub beside oceanfront was exactly what was on my bucket list at the outerbanks and this home delivered. And the Twiddy rental company was very organized and people friendly. Even sending reminders to set out trash .Thank you for a great vacation spot"

"We enjoyed our week at Toes in the Sand very much. We were a party of fourteen aging from 75 down to 4 and the home provided us with all the space we needed, right on the beach. With some tropical storm weather in the air the pool was a wonderful amenity."

"The house was very spacious. Generous room sizes. 4 master bedrooms. Multiple beds in the other bedrooms to sleep more guests. Dining area, kitchen, and family room was nice. Right on the beach. The pool wasn't too deep so we didn't need to worry too much about the kids. The location of the house was fantastic!"

"Absolutely loved the ocean views from everywhere!! The sunrises in the back of the house, and sunset views from the front of the house were amazing! It accommodated EVERYTHING!! The walkway to the beach was perfect! Loved watching the dolphins!! The game room was used every night! Love the decks everywhere. Sat outside each evening and watched the shooting stars!"

"This was the 8th year we have stayed at this house. The house layout and location are just right for our family gathering. We were happy to see some improvements made to the house since the prior year. The new owners have obviously decided to invest some into the maintenance of the property. Unfortunately, with the recent storms, the protective dunes on the ocean side have basically been totally wiped out. Hopefully they will be in some way restored. We plan to return again next year."

"You can't get a better view of the ocean. The house was spacious and comfortable for the most part. They did a good job of creating a beachy vibe. The TVs were all modern and easy to operate (though we only used the one in the family room) and the game room was perfect for family fun."

"Location is absolutely tremendous with incredible views of the beach and ocean. The house itself is in need of some serious updating/upgrades of some of the main living areas. Outdated bathrooms and a kitchen with rotting water worn cabinets, and cabinetry that no longer functions properly. The decks are in rough shape and the outside screened in porch has a non functional door and rotting wood. It has enormous potential to be one of the most desirable houses on the beach bc of its location and how close it is to the actual ocean, but it needs some love."

"The house accommodates our families well (right number of bedrooms, baths, etc.), has all the amenities we want (oceanfront, pool and spa) and is in a good location. The beach here is seldom crowded. Place could use some TLC as there are a variety of minor maintenance items which could use some attention and the selection of kitchen pots, pans, bowls, casseroles, etc. is a bit of a mixed bag. One of the two dishwashers was not operable (which was not a real problem as long as we remembered to run the one when full), but there was nothing indicating that the other one was not working right. We had to discover that ourselves with a dishwasher load that did not get washed. In spite of the negatives noted, the positives far outweigh them, and we have been happy to return multiple times. This was our 7th year, and we plan on returning again next year."

"This was our second year there and we absolutely love it. The only thing I can say is the kitchen could use some better pots and pans, there was three coffee pots but only one worked, and only one of the two dishwashers worked. other than that the house is absolutely beautiful. The views are amazing. Some mornings we woke up to dolphins playing. The kids love it and we plan on making it a yearly trip!"

"We had a great time at Toes in the Sand. Awesome location and views. Layout of the house was great. The only downside that I can mention is that the kitchen was not well supplied. With COVID we are quite a few meals in the house. The knives were very dull, there was no juicer but we purchased one and left at the house and glasses, pots and pans could have been better. I only write this in hopes that the owner will think about improving kitchen supplies. Even with those comments I would give the house 5 stars and we booked again for next year."

"Toes in the Sand was very nice. Great location. Oceanfront but this house is legitimately feet from the sand and a 100 yards from the ocean. Incredible views. House could use some updating and maintenance. Particularly the windows which are hard to see out of, deck and sliding doors throughout the house are very worn, and deck is due for replacing or major sanding and refinishing. Overall good house in a beautiful spot."
