Kick back and relax at “The Anchored Thistle” in Corolla! Located on the soundfront in the gated Currituck Club golf community, this home offers a beautiful private setting and upscale amenities. The home’s spacious layout, inside and out, allows for your entire group to gather and spend time together. Stunning sunsets are yours to enjoy throughout your vacation at this wonderful soundfront retreat.
On the top level of the main home, the great room is open and airy, with gorgeous views of the nearby Currituck Sound. The comfortable living area invites you to relax and spend time with loved ones. A gas fireplace is available for use during the cooler months of the year. In the kitchen, you’ll find plenty of counter space and all equipment needed to prepare meals for the duration of your stay. Getting groceries from the ground floor to the third level is a breeze using the elevator. Enjoy meals together at the large dining table nearby. After dinner, step outside onto the deck to watch the sky change colors as the sun goes down. The screened porch on the top level is a great place to relax outside at any time of day. There is one ensuite bedroom on the top floor, which includes a large window that allows the sound view into the room. The ensuite bedroom also has access to the deck as well as a whirlpool tub in the spacious private bathroom.
Two additional ensuite bedrooms can be found on the middle floor of the home, each with a private bathroom and access to the covered decks. There is one additional bedroom with access to the deck and a semi-private bathroom that opens to the den. The den on the second floor serves as an additional place to relax in the home. Laundry facilities can be found on the middle level of the home.
The final ensuite bedroom can be found over the garage in the home’s guest house, which is accessible by covered decks on the middle level of the home. The guest house over the garage is ideal for teenagers or other family members in your group that may want additional privacy. The spacious bedroom includes a full bathroom and features a kitchenette, TV, air hockey table, and several seating areas. The guest house also has access to a private deck.
On the ground floor, the spacious rec room will surely be the place to hang out when you’re not outside. For the competitive members of your group, the ping pong table and pool table are readily available. For those that prefer to lounge and watch TV, there is a dedicated space in the rec room. If puzzles or card games are on your vacation agenda, there is a high-top table in the rec room as well. Take vacation relaxation to the next level in the home’s sauna. When you’re ready for a break from your chosen activity, refreshments can be readily available in the nearby kitchenette, which features a full refrigerator and microwave.
Outside, there are many fun activities to choose from. Make a splash in the refreshing private pool. Lounge in the sunshine poolside, or hang out at the tiki bar nearby. Just outside of the pool area, the volleyball court invites your family to create teams and compete for vacation bragging rights. There is a basketball goal available in the driveway as well. Back inside the pool area, soothe sore muscles with a restorative soak in the hot tub.
In addition to amenities available at the home, The Currituck Club offers a plethora of community amenities. In season, keep the car parked at your vacation home and take advantage of the community-wide trolley to get to and from the beach and community amenities. Community amenities include three outdoor pools, tennis courts, basketball court, shuffleboard, cornhole, and gym. “The Anchored Thistle” is the perfect OBX home for your family to gather and make vacation memories!
