"Caratuck felt like our home-away-from-home the minute we walked in the door. The open-concept, spacious living area was perfect for the whole family to relax in together. Local artwork decorated the walls; complimenting the beautiful wood details and vaulted ceiling. We cooked meals, played OBX-opoly, and watched movies together with ample room to spare. The washer & dryer are in an ideal location as you enter from the back/side deck and just a hop, skip & jump from the bedrooms. There was no heavy lugging of laundry baskets up and down flights of stairs. The pristine pool was perfect after (or before!) a hot day at the beach, and the covered hot tub was shaded from the beating sun & away from any pesky bugs. The walk to the beach took less than 2 minutes. Our whole gang (ages 6 to 75) could handle the walk easily. It often felt like we had our own private beach access on this quiet, well-kept street. The wrap around deck provided beautiful views of greenery and glimpses of the ocean. The paved driveway with a large covered area for multiple vehicles, plenty of bathrooms and a porch swing were icing on the cake. Caratuck is perfect for families looking for an escape to OBX-paradise, while still maintaining all the comforts of home."

"This is our fourth year at this house and it is perfect for us, 5 people. We love that each room has its own bathroom and love the pool and hot tub. The porch is wonderful for hanging out and listening to the waves. We have been very happy with all that this house offers for a week at the beach, especially the short walk to the beach."

"The house is great. Great location. Close walk to the beach and Corolla Village. The home owners have been gracious enough to increase the weekly rent minimally if at all, particularly as the Outer Banks becomes a more popular vacation spot. This is a huge factor in my mind as rental prices increase. Would like to see the umbrella by the pool replaced since it looks like the stand is broken. Would also like to see thicker mattress pads added to beds upstairs. I rented this house twice already and have it reserved for the Spring. Can't wait to come back. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay in."
"Location was wonderful to the beach and enjoyed the pool and hot tub. My family really enjoyed themselves. My only comment the kitchen pots and pans could use some updating especially a large frying pan. Had to make eggs for everyone with the small pan. It would be extremely helpful to cart beach items with a wheel barrow. Otherwise we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the residence."

"The home is great. The kitchen is well stocked, pots, pans, silverware, pot holders, keurig etc. The first floor is open and roomy. Plenty of bathrooms for guests. Nice pool in the backyard which is very private. Liked the needlepoint on the walls. Owners obviously take great pride in this home. I love the quiet of this street. I have rented other homes on it as well. Am already booked to return to this home in the Fall."
"We enjoyed the house and its location to the beach. One thing that would be helpful due to the times, would be to move the wifi router into the main living area. Our family utilizes the wifi for roku tv and it was very hard to stay connected. Lastly, the kitchen could use some more skillets and potholders. Minor things but helps with staying home to cook given current conditions."
