Ratings & Reviews
The home was great. Large enough for our large family, comfortable beds, nice kitchen and spacious. Location was awesome, not real close to any other homes. Really enjoyed our time there, and will definitely be back again.

It's or home away from home and more.

Totally relaxing location away from the crowds with an unobstructed view of the ocean from the house. Loved the views. Also, there were always horses around. For our larger group, it was nice to have rooms on three levels. The loft was especially fun to be in. The huge dining room table was great for all of our extended family to be together. The hot tub and pool were great places for our teenagers to actually enjoy being with the other relatives.

we have been vacationing at the morning star for 7 yrs and are still in the love with this home! The morning star has the best views of the ocean and of course the horses that roam around the dunes and in the driveway and bottom deck of the house!

Questions & Answers
The house lists 3 bathrooms. The description lists a full bath on each floor. It doesn't state where the 3rd bath is located. Is it in the MBR?
Great question Kristie! The third bathroom is located on the second level in the MBR. We wish you a great day!

How does low and high tide affect driving conditions on the beach with a 4WD vehicle? Will my SUV make it to driving during high tide?
Excellent question, Jackie! The 4x4 beach is still accessible during high tide. However, it is typically much easier to drive on the beach at low tide as there is more beach to drive on and the sand tends to be more packed down. Hello, I am so excited to be staying at the morning star this coming weekend (May 28) I was just wondering how the ocean and also the pool water is are both at a comfortable temp. To swim?
Heather, it has been an unseasonably cool spring so far, our water temperatures are a bit on the cool side. Our current sea temperatures are approx. 63 degrees, and current pool temperatures are approx. 65 degrees.

What is the closest town to look to do things? What is the length of time does it take to get there?
Hi Heather! The closest town with restaurants, attractions, shopping, etc. is Corolla. You drive through Corolla prior to getting to the 4X4 beach area, and it is about 12 -15 minutes away from the home.

Will a all wheel drive vehicle make it to this home
That's a great question, Mindy! We do not recommend All Wheel Drive vehicles for accessing the 4X4 area, but instead strongly encourage 4WD vehicles. The sand can become very deep and soft in that area and requires higher clearance and torque that AWD vehicles cannot achieve.

Since this is a pet friendly house, do you know the rules on the beach for dogs? Any leash laws or things to know for pet owners? Thanks.
That's a great question, Kelly. Each town has its own laws and regulations for pets on the beach. The rules for the 4X4 beach area, where this home is located, require dogs to be on a leash at all times (when not in the water), but there is no regulation or length designation.

There are several small children vacationing with us and I would like to know the best way to secure the pool. Also, what are the locations of the bedrooms?
Cheri, this pool is a gated pool, so the area cannot be entered without unlocking the gate. There are 3 bedrooms on level 1, and 3 bedrooms on level 2, and here is the home's description by level, giving types of bedrooms on each level: L1: Three BRs (Q, Q, 2T); laundry; full bath L2: MBR (Q); two BRs (Q, 2BS); great room; kitchen; full bath; screened porch; loft (QSS)

hows the well water supply? enough water for a full family? well wasn't to strong last time we stayed here
Thank you for your inquiry, Jeff! Well water homes do have a continuous supply but occasionally experience low pressure, salty, distasteful or discolored water. There may be an unpleasant sulfur odor. Private well water may discolor hair and/or clothing. Some guests choose to use bottled water for drinking purposes even though the water is tested regularly for contaminants. Homes with private wells in the 4x4 areas may have more prevalent water problems, even in homes with water filtration systems.

How many refrigerators does the house have? and how many pool loungers/chairs?
Carmen, there is one refrigerator in the kitchen. There is not a required number of loungers/chairs for a pool area; we simply ask our owners to provide an adequate number for the occupancy of the home!
