"Delightfully secluded and surrounded by several horses everyday:D For 8 days our children and grandchildren had a ball at the property in the pool/hot tub/captain's watch/deck area/large living room area and the beach, a short walk or drive. We definitely took advantage of the screened in dining area and the lovely kitchen. Fond family memories were made here!!"

"Can't say enough about Twiddy and our vacation home. Morning Star meets/exceeds all of our vacation needs/expectations. The house is better than we could have imagined. There have been some additional upgrades from last year...and they are all for the better. I do wish there was a way we could leave a message for the owner's just to let them know how much we love their home. Morning Star and Twiddy are both TOP NOTCH!! They have both became of summer family tradition for us. Thank you for always making our family time on the OBX at our home away from home---stress free and AMAZING. Already looking forward to our 2023 vacation!!"

"The pictures do not do this home justice! The place was fantastic and a well kept secret! We have vacationed in the 4 x4 area three times a year for the past 20 years. This place is definitely in our top 3 and we WILL be back! Everything was perfect! Fantastic deck furniture, very pet friendly, and the rolling gate for the front was a great touch. Kitchen was well stocked and the auto close door on the ground level was great. The privacy and seclusion for being so close to the beach was great. We will be back definitely!!! The owners truly too special care with every amenity!!"

"Beautiful and spacious home. Just a short walk gets you to the beach, and you can see the sea from the main level. Wild horses make their way by most days. We loved the quiet seclusion of this home, while only being a short drive into Corolla."
"I absolutely love staying at morning star It has all The amenities we love. The first few days was great after day four the water starts to turn yellow and I was not able to do laundry due to the yellow water."

"Great home for price and location, not happy that water ruined all of our clothes, water was orange in the morning had to brush teeth with bottled water. Beds need to be updated to Kings."
"For an older home, it was a little dated but served our needs well. The location (one row back from the beach houses) was just as nice as being on the beach due to there being no obstructions in your view of the beach. When you could walk or drive to the beach. When you needed a break, back to the house for lunch and pool time! The well water and mattress are the only reason for not giving 5 stars. Way too much iron causing the water to be brown and the home needs new, updated mattress. otherwise the home was perfect for our group of 4 Adults and 4 teenagers."
"I was very impressed with the home! The pictures on the twiddy site hadn’t been updated so I was pleasantly surprised at the Kitchen renovations and the new decor! The home had plenty of space for our party of 11. The pool was great, but very cold, but it rained the entire first 4 days of our trip so I would guess that didn’t help! The water had a strong bleach smell and did bleach out some of our laundry but I guess that is better than having it stink. I would gladly rent this home again. The location is ideal. It’s close to the main road but still far enough down the beach to make sure you have that “living on the beach” feel. This was a Great vacation!"
