"The Kraken had everything as promised and we had an amazing 1st trip to the OBX. Because of recent storms and flooding we had to plan limited trips to town around low tide but that was just fine because we were there to enjoy the beach/pool/hot tub and for relaxation! The fully stocked kitchen and gas grill made it easy for us to enjoy our meals at the house. We also appreciated the bean bag boards and board game options. Horses visited every day, including once when they held up a beach walk for a bit as they were using the stair railings as a back scratcher!"

"Our party appreciated the kitchen stocked with pots, pans, storage containers, plenty of cups, and such. It was also nice to be able to have access to the NBA finals. The oversized dining table was used daily and accommodated our whole party of 11. The hot tub was hot hot hot… which was nice for our bones on the cooler days. The living room couch and chairs were so comfortable. We were able to have movie nights a couple of times and some couch naps. The pillows were also very comfortable which is super important when staying away from home. The extra large soft throw blankets were also a nice touch to have access to for extra comfort. The corn hole boards were also a hit out by the pool."

"The Kraken is one of the most well appointed homes I have stayed in. It was obvious that the Gillis Family thought of every aspect in considering a persons needs and wishes while exceeding their expectations! From the welcoming feeling you get when walking into a professionally decorated home to the comfort of having all the amenities needed for a dream vacation, they covered everything to make the week about making memories! The furniture was perfect, the kitchen was a dream to cook in with no shortage of appliances, dishes or cookware and they added a personal touch of constructing a welcome book to their home with instructions to ease the stress of many questions that may pose as a time consumer! Your time in this home is spent relaxing, enjoying and creating memories of a lifetime because of the time they took thinking of everything! The pool was perfect for everyone, the corn hole was a hit and the chairs and arrangement of beach chairs was a plus! Horses were seen daily and there is plenty to do inside and out for kids and adults! Perfect location, beautiful home and any expectations will be exceeded staying at the Kraken!"
