"We have always loved Dune Maker - the Ice machine is a great bonus and the home as a lot of rooms for you to bring the whole family. The heated pool is also a wonderful amenity for late summer vacationers and of course the allowance for our dogs is also a big plus. We love to travel with our pets and Twiddy homes allow us to do that."

"This was one of our best vacations yet!! The house was utterly perfect for our family. The beds were comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed, 2 sinks, 2 fridges, 2 dishwashers! The pool was huge and the views from the deck and bedrooms were beautiful. The deck furniture was great too, usually its old wooden chairs and you can tell they have updated them. We had a lot of fun nights on that deck! The only thing I have to say is the water smelled like sulfur really bad and so did the ice in the ice maker BUT we still used it for our drinks. We were not able to use the water dispenser that the house advertises because no stores around had any water jugs in stock! We just got tons of bottled water. We would highly recommend this house and will be staying again!!"

It is a constant battle out in the 4x4, and we have been working to solve it - in fact, we just had an all new system installed last year. "We all loved this house. The owners definitely take great pride in maintaining their house. The new maintenance/upgrades were nice. We peaked at the house outside last yr before we left lol. We are looking forward to staying again in 2026. This house seemed noise proof to other areas of the house. That's nice with 9 people in the house. This was also the 1st yr we had a fabulous sand free walk way to the beach. Thank you again"

"This home is well cared for and there are constant updates that improve the overall experience. Some of our favorite things about this home; the ocean views, boardwalk, heated pool, elevator, game room, the spacious kitchen! Foot washing station, gas grill, outdoor seating, new deck under the pergola. Too much to list here! Looking forward to returning in 2026!"

"just a great house all around, nice enough that its a vacation home but not so nice where we walk on egg shells trying not to disrupt the perfection. access to the beach is the best and sunrises with a cup of coffee are unreal"
You've gotta love the sunrises!! How many pictures have we taken of sunrise over the years... each one prettier than the last! Thank you so much for your review and detailed suggestions. It is great to hear from our guests, as we are always trying to improve our home, keeping it fresh but also comfortable. It is a labor of love for us and also a challenge to keep everything nice in that harsh beach environment and with so many guests coming through. We SO appreciate your consideration while you're at the house and that you've been repeat guests, and really hope you can find a way to come back soon. We are always making upgrades and some major ones this year.
"The home was spacious and had plenty of master bedrooms. The pool was so nice and we loved having two hot-tubs and an outdoor shower & foot rinse station to get the sand off after the beach. The owners have really thought of everything as far as having a private walkway right out to the beach and a spot to hold everybody's beach chairs so that you don't have to carry them all the way back in each day. The kitchen was large and spacious and made cooking a breeze. The kids bunk room and game room kept the children entertained and we loved all the deck furniture so that we could sit outside. We loved being able to see the wild horses and they frequently visited the Dune Maker. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely visit again!"

So glad that the horses visited - it's always a treat to see them, especially silhouetted on the beautiful dunes. The house is a labor of love for us, and always a work in progress as we try to keep it updated and fresh in a harsh environment. The kitchen inventory does take a beating... we now laugh at the tuperware situation - each spring we leave all new and when we return in the fall everything we left is gone and pieces we don't recognize fill the cabinets! "Clean. Close to ocean and can see the view of ocean. Saw the wild horses. Ice machine. Hot tub. I had a problem with cold water-and it was promptly taken care of with a new hot water tank. The pool was wonderful size, clean."

"Always a great place to vacation"

We did replace a water heater recently, so hopefully that won't be an issue in the future. We will look in to the TV situation... it might have to do with the wifi, which can be spotty out on the 4x4, especially when it is very crowded. We hope you'll be back next year!
"The home is located beautifully just a small walkway to the beach. It has numerous king beds and a spacious kitchen. There are two refrigerators a professional coffee maker and an ice maker. The house had some upgrades down this year that made a nice home even nicer. Looking forward to what upgrades will continue."

"The home was well laid out and had plenty of kitchen amenities for preparing and storing food. The large outdoor upper deck was wonderful for taking in the view. By all accounts the beds were very comfortable."
"3 families. 6 adults. 6 kids 6 and under, 1 infant. Had a total blast. Perfect for us, no complaints at all. Views and weather were amazing, horses hanging around every day. Double kitchen is the best thing we could have asked for and having the pool to come back to after a long day on the beach made it the perfect vacation. Cant wait for next year."

Would love to have the game room with more comfy seating so that the kids could actually have another space to hang out together vs the living room, just a comment."

Some of the work we've done is behind the scenes (new roof, new HVAC and vents, etc.) and we've recently redone all the floors and most of the decks, gotten new mattresses and updated furniture. "The views from this house are gorgeous. The house has plenty of room for several families to spread out. Two of everything in the kitchen was great except one of the ovens didn’t work. The commercial ice maker is the best thing ever. I almost wish all the twiddy homes in the 4x4 area would have this amenity. The beds were comfortable and everything seemed cleaned. They do need to restock the kitchen with a few more cooking utensils especially having two stoves and a few more Tupperware containers. The house of this size with many people would need more of those. The bedrooms on the upper floor, have no TVs. While I understand we have the best views from there, a TV in those rooms would have been nice. Overall the house is good. I would go back again in the future."
Thanks for your review, the complements and suggestions. Our home is a labor of love, and we've been working hard to make it great for all of our guests. For example, all the king and queen mattresses are brand new, and I'm glad you found them comfy. So sorry if the kitchen wasn't as well stocked as you'd like ... when we leave before the season starts, we ensure there is plenty of everything, including brand new sets of tupperware! Over the weeks we realize that things are damaged.

"This is my second time staying in this house and will be staying another week later this summer. The house is beautiful and has everything you need. It was clean. The views are beautiful. The kitchen is spacious with a commercial size ice machine which is amazing. The two hot tubs are a huge hit! They can comfortably sit everyone. Only downside is the pool is not heated and it was very cold, understandably so since the weather isn’t warm enough yet to heat it. The upgrades in the game room are very nice as well."

"Great layout and amenities in the house. Water in hot tubs were brown and dirty when we got there. Needed to be cleaned the day after. House did not have enough power to heat hot tubs and pools as advertised."
