"Limited Access" was carefully designed to be reminiscent of the old coastal Carolina style beach homes, while offering all the conveniences of modern living. This home offers five bedrooms in the main house and another in the separate guest cottage. Wide covered verandas overlook the dunes and the ocean. A gracious screened porch, optimally located on the southern side of the home, opens via double sliding doors to the dining area. Use the attached guest cottage for the parents with a newborn, the grandparents or even the newlyweds. Watch the sun and the moon rise from the dune deck, just steps away from the main house. Take in the broad ocean views from the deck chairs on the top deck off two bedrooms (with private baths) and a family room. Nap in the hammock in the shade, lounge by the pool, relax in the hot tub, or hang out by the pool table.

"Limited Access is one of the most beautiful homes on the island. The home was spacious, kitchen was well-stocked and well-organized (loved the labels!), and it was decorated thoughtfully and beautifully. The second-floor master bath was one of our favorite parts of the house. Stunning views of both the ocean and the island made every second of our trip memorable. We’ve stayed at Carova twice a year for 15 years, always oceanfront, and this was our best trip yet. The sitting area on the way to the beach is so peaceful and makes you feel like you’re all alone. We saw horses and dolphins most days, and can’t wait to go back next year. This will be our new place! (And both of my teenagers were very impressed with the internet speed). "This was our fourth stay at Limited Access and it won’t be our last. A lovely and comfortable home with lots of room to spread out, even with a larger group. We love the calm beachy decor. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. The views are spectacular from sunrise to sunset. We were visited daily by the same harem of wild horses and it was delightful watching them graze in the wide open space near the house. We are already planning next year’s stay at Limited Access!"

"Our family of 12 stayed in this home the first week of April and although it was too cold to swim, the owner was gracious enough to have the pool prepared for our visit. The home was in excellent condition and everything we needed was there, even items we brought not expecting them to be there. The staff was responsive to each our calls and the emergency line was a lifesaver when we had trouble accessing the lockbox on arrival and check-out. We drove our SUVs on the 4x4 and although they had 4 wheel drive, we found it difficult a few times to navigate the beach. If we were to stay on the 4x4 again, we would rent a vehicle more suitable for off road conditions. If you go during this time of year and enjoy fishing, which we do, there is a park and pier not to far from the house where a gentleman shared with us that he is able to catch bass and other fish at the pier, but that early spring is not the best time to fish off the beach (which we tried, only caught one fish between 4 of us on three separate days). The memories made on this vacation were priceless and this home was the perfect setting for those memories to be made. You will enjoy this home!"

"I have been going to the Outer Banks for 25+ years and Limited Access was the most beautiful home I have rented there. It was our first time staying in Carova and it was an incredible trip. The house is beautifully decorated with open floor plan on the middle floor and fully stocked kitchen. The upstairs common area was a relaxing place to hang out and step outside to see the ocean. We may have just gotten lucky but we saw horses every day we were there. The horses liked to hang out under the house to avoid the sun and often ran over the dunes right next to the pool. One young couple we were with stayed in the guest house but it would be a quiet place for a couple with a toddler or older couple. In summary - my expectations were high based on the pictures but the actual experience blew those expectations out of the water. You will not regret renting this gorgeous home in beautiful the beach town of Carova."
