"Love the quiet location and easy walking distance to the beach. Was our 2nd summer here and couldn’t have asked for a better home for our week long get away. Many memories were made. The home offers everything you need to relax. The decks are amazing. Plenty of space for everyone. Unfortunately with our growing family we’ll have to find something bigger next year but barefoot inn will always have a special spot in our heart."

"We loved our time at Barefoot! The house felt huge for our group of 16 (ages 1-55). The kids loved the pool table and TV downstairs. We all enjoyed ending a beach day relaxing in the pool. The fact that the beach was just a minute walk was awesome!"

"Nice home and nice location. Very comfortable and well kept. Bunks were adequate but access to upper bunks was impossible with bare feet. Ladder had 1/2" round steps. Some mattresses could use replacement. Sagging in middle. Improving the above items would rate a 4th star."
"Our week at Barefoot Inn was as close to perfect as you can get. Nine women from age 22 to 73 shared the house, plenty of beds and plenty of bathrooms. The pool and hot tub were great. The house was clean and nice. The only even slight down side was that the LR sofa was a bit uncomfortable."
"This home is convenient to the beach with golf cart parking at the end of Plover and convenient to the town of Duck via walking or bike. The pool and hot tub are nice. The large open room on the top floor is good for large group meal and socializing. The mattresses on all of the beds need to be replaced; most of my family suffered back and neck pain from the very worn mattresses and flat pillows. It is not possible to cook on the burners on the electric stove because each burner is crooked and off-centered, which cannot be fixed and must be replaced. The refrigerator on the top floor has broken parts so some of the storage is not functional. The furniture and floors on the top floor are quite worn, but functional. Because of the poor quality of the mattresses which affected my family's quality of sleep, we will not renewing at this home."
Hi Pamela! Thanks for your feedback and for staying! I’m sorry you had an issue with the mattresses. So you are aware, I have ordered 4 new premium mattresses (Nectar mattresses) for the 4 master bedrooms. You will see this in our advertisement as well shortly.

"Wonderful vacation home with plenty of space for families and kids. The house and furnishings are in great shape. We enjoyed the spacious wrap-around decks and breakfasts on the screened patio. The walk to the beach access is short (< 5 minutes) and the pool and hot tub are perfect for relaxing when you need a break from the beach. We loved that the pool has a separate kid-proof entrance to keep children from wandering down. Would stay again in a heartbeat."

"We had been there 5th year. At Barefoot Inn. We are very sad. They are changing in 2021 no longer allow dogs and heated pool. We will miss this home very much."
"We stayed at Bare Foot Inn 2 years ago and I was pleased to see for 2020 all carpet was replaced and new flooring installed. Also, new appliances. It is the perfect house for our family of 8 adults and 7 children."
